C6 may be obsolete, technology-wise, to the manufacturer and that's it. The more hi-tech you get, the more you take the driver out of the equation. It's about CHARACTER.
Character does not make a better car necessarily. Better for nostalgia or getting the feeling of being on the edge but better, no.
Is the C4 better than the C5 because it has more character? Does it really have more character?
Really? Using the C6.R as an example is stretching very, very far.
It doesn't have to meet government crash test standards or feel pressure from CAFE either. The first is a big reason is a big reason why cars get redesigned or discontinued.
The C6 as a street car is obsolete considering the future environment of automotive technology and government standards. Period.

Hell.. why even bother with a 2013 GS. A real deal would be purchasing a 2004 C5 thats never been driven. You can probably pick that up for $30,000 of sticker price. Because after all.. the entire point of the C7 section is talk about how much money you saved on an older model right?

I'm sure they just assumed/inferred that logic applies sequentially in reverse chronology - which, from their perspective, it does.
