C7 makes C6 obsolete

I've been reading sooo much on the C7 lately and trying to feel the vibe for it that when I look at the C6 next to the C7 I suddenly feel more of a vibe for the C6. IMO the C6 looks faster, and like it's ready for war. The C6 looks fresh and stoudt, wheras the C7 looks looong and laid back, kinda like the obsolete C5. In all seriousness though if the C7 body had come before the C6 body we would all be saying the same stuff, just in reverse. I haven't sat in the C7 yet and I'm sure the upgraded displays look great, but unfortunately just as in the C6 they too will be outdated and old school in probably no more than about two years. That's the problem with tech. It gets old real real fast.
Bottom line is Tadge is going to say what he needs to say to sell cars. He's a high paid saleman, whom I'm sure get's a really nice "commision" too. Next year he'll be spouting off about all of the great improvements in the 15 model that will in some ways make the 14 obsolete as well. And so it goes...

I think its easier to just own both instead of chosing.

The problem with that pic is that ur comparing the C7 to a wide body C6 with front splitter and side skirts..... If you compare a base C6, I have to agree that it does look date and obselete

That's a ZR1. Not a base C6.
Try comparing a C6 base to C7 base.
The C6 in that pic has a wider body, front splitter, different fender ventwork, and quite a few other major differences to a C6.
When I see a C6 base in person now, I just shake my head abit. The ZR1, ZO6 and GS are all much better looking cars.
Even so now, looking at the C7 I'm kind of glad I skipped out on getting the C6.

The funny thing is that even if the C7 does lag behind the C6 in some performance aspect we will never know about it. GM is not about to mention this. They are in the business of selling cars and as far is GM marketing is concerned the C7 is better than the C6 is every way.

Sure they will, not like anyone around here uses logic and reading comprehension but yeah, there is no way GM would twist anything and misreseprent the truth. After all, Tadge already decleared that car is heavy to increase fuel economy and the entire flock readily bought into it... Not like you are going to be there when they dono the motor to make sure you know what fuel they use, and this is just for starters

The base c6 isn't a very high bar but I would think that a 10% improvement in almost every aspect (hp, skidpad, 0-60 etc..) besides weight is easily doable. And we don't know the weight, so don't tell me its heavier unless you know. And adding the 3-4 things we have heard about weight gain/savings without considering that the other 60% of the car might have some influence is not knowing.
