Wow, I am totally out of touch with the music stuff. ipods, 64 gig iphones hooked up to your car. 13,500 songs on your phone. I feel like I just crawled out of a cave. I do have a couple of old 8 track players in the attic! I use the seek button on the radio till it hits a song I wanna hear.
Same here, I never got on board with the whole ipod/smart phone/MP3 music thing.
When I'm in my car it's either CDs or radio so it looks like my vast CD collection is going to be gathering some dust if I get a C7.

It's REALLY easy to rip your CDs onto a USB stick. You can fit a good 100 CDs on a small USB stick. And you won't ever get any sort of scratch CD or skip.

You mean like a SanDisk 8g flashdrive.
Do you plug that into the thingy inside the console box, there are some connection points for "stuff"
My wife likes her new '13 Honda Accord that has a single disc CD player along with an internal 16 gig HD. She just loads a disc to play and has the option to similtaniously copy it to the HD in about 5 minutes. She can add or delete at will and give voice commands to play any album or track and the titles show on the an 8 inch screen. Perfect for her with her extensive CD Library collected over the years. And the HD sound quality is just as good as the CD. She also can choose XM, Pandora, USB, MP3 and Bluetooth link as well. Nice for her!
Correct, there is no CD player. The car has iPhone connection, BT audio connection, Pandora, auxiliary in for mp3, USB (thumb drive or iPhone cable) and an SD media slot. Of course all this along with AM, FM, HD and XM radio.
My '13 CTS has a 40 gig hard drive and I really don't know what the hell that's for. I am totally clueless.
Music storage. Just think of how awesome it is to be able to drive over railroad tracks, listening to -exactly- what you wanna listen to without it having skip the damn CD, or not having to fish around the stereo hoping you A: find something with no commercials going, or B: find something you want to hear.
I love music. Tons of vinyl, 8tracks, cassette tapes and cd's. Last summer I converted them all to a digital format. External Hardrives, MacBook and the cloud. One thing that is a must have is blue tooth audio. I love it! No plugging in the phone or thumb drive etc. Just sync it up one time and you're good to go.

Yes, exactly. Except that 8GB isn't much these days. I have an 8GB usb stick on my keychain that is a little smaller than a penny. LOL These days you can get a 16 or 32 GB version for really cheap.
Inside the console behind the screen there's a USB port. Plug in and go.

The USB connection works with Androids as well as other devices that go into USB storage mode. Really, almost any MP3 player will do it too.

40 gigs is a crap ton of music.

That's what Playlists are for.
I have a workout playlist
a ''relaxing'' playlist
general listening playlist
background music playlist.
I've got different songs in each, different genres etc.
