If 7% of the people do not like some aspects of the car that does not make them unpopular.
So no, they will not change it next year.
They were trying to make a bold enough redesign to **** off at least 10% of the population that don't like to see any changes in their sacred cows. It looks like they missed their target.

GM Accessories might sell body-colored vents/inlets for those who don't like the stock contrast.
But if you think there will be any rear fascia changes in the second model year, you need to think again. There's way too much positive response to engender a Honda-Civic / Chevy Malibu ohcrap update. You'll be lucky if a non-cartoonish aftermarket option appears.

I'd certainly be interested in body-colored pieces.
The C7 is a beautiful, well engineered, high performance sports Car. Why would they change it after one year? They will sell all they can build. Afterrmarket will take care of the small "details". Probably, the hi HP Model will be a little different. But, face it the C7 "look" is what we will have for the forseeable future.
GM has already done that with the 63 split window after only one years production because of visibility complaints. I had a brand new 63 split window that I hated to drive after less than 2 weeks because of the poor visibility, noisy and hot interior and after only 6 months traded it for a 64 convert.

Unbelievable. Thats all I asked for and you want it too. Hypocrite. I don't like the rear end with the black paint. Then a lot of you simpletons ganged up on me. Yes I think the demographic on the Corvette was successfully lowered - to 8 year olds.
Unpopular? The only ones who think it's "unpopular" are C6 owners who realize their car instantly looked "old".
What C6 owners want is a car more like the C6 so that won't happen.
The Malibu has to fight against the Fusion, which is a darn nice looking car (now that they stole the front from Aston Martin).
Give it a rest. Can't you possibly fathom that some aspects of the car may not agree to everyone. You use the same retort whenever anybody says they don't like something about the C7. Please do us all a favour and never run for elected office. You could not handle the ciriticism.

No, talking about a 2nd year redesign is not offering different colored vents. You were talking about "...there is hope that some unpopular elements of the C7 could disappear as well". Stop backin' the truck up.
I've said I wanted the body-colored option on the vents since day one.
I personally like the new rear and the black lower panel. But, if the feedback is overwhelmingly negative it would be an easy thing for Chevy to change. Remember in 1984 there was a black body molding around the whole exterior of the car. Chevy changed it in 1985 to body colored. Not sure if it was customers complaining, but they did change it the next year.

If it were up to a lot of the old folks in here the Corvette would still have cheesy pop up headlights. I think I remember a few people saying they would not buy bc of that too.
