Launch Control (Track
Mode Only)
A Launch Control feature is
available, within Competitive Driving
Mode (except Z51 with Magnetic
Selective Ride Control) or
Performance Traction Management
(Z51 with Magnetic Selective Ride
Control), on all vehicles to allow the
driver to achieve high levels of
vehicle acceleration in a straight
line. Launch Control is a form of
traction control that manages tire
spin while launching the vehicle.
This feature is intended for use
during closed course race events
where consistent zero to
60 and quarter mile times are
desirable.
Launch Control is only available
when the following criteria are met:
. Competitive Driving Mode is
selected (except Z51 with
Magnetic Selective Ride Control)
or any of the Performance
Traction Management modes
are selected (Z51 with Magnetic
Selective Ride Control). The
TCS light comes on the
instrument panel and the
appropriate DIC message
displays.
Been there, done that. Still doesn't work.
Thanks for the "read the manual advice"

I believe that it is standard on all C7's but not entirely sure of that.

EDIT:. just checked and it appears all C7's have launch control, both auto and manual, both base and Z51.
Yes, all C7's have 'Launch Control'. For the A8 you must put the car in 'Track' mode with the WHEEL STRAIGHT, apply the brake hard mash the gas to the FLOOR as quickly as you can. The computer recognizes an attempted launch by steering wheel straight, Track Mode on, brakes on full, throttle on full. It catches the engine RPM and holds it near 3000. When brakes are released, the computer gives all the throttle the rear tires can take without spin. After all, spinnin ain't winnin.

For the M7 it's a bit different. Steering wheel straight, trans in first, clutch to fhe floor and mash the throttle to the floor FAST. Computer catches the RPM and holds it near 3000. Slip your foot off the clutch pedal to the left, computer again applies as much throttle as the rear tires can take without spin and you are off. if you want a real rhrill, do that one in an M7 Z06!

You realize that you replied to a thread that died more than a year ago, correct?
