C7 Moderation

We want this section to be a safe and inviting place for people to come and exchange information and ideas and seek help. We want this section to be a place where you can have an opinion and express it without fear of attacks. This includes opinions to the positive and to the negative. We want this to be the section you want it to be. With all of that said, this section must operate within the guidelines set forth in the forum user agreement. We won’t tolerate personal attacks. Exchange ideas without making it personal.Everyone is excited about the new car and passion is running high. There are those that don’t like every aspect of the car and they are entitled to that opinion and they are entitled to express that opinion. There are those waiting for a car and tensions are running high. Some come to legitimately express these concerns. However, there are those that come to stir the pot, beat the horse and ruffle feathers. We are seeing the same people doing the same things over and over again.
We understand that not everyone is going to see things the same, or share in the same excitement with the C7, and therefore, we ask that while you voice your difference of opinion, you do so in accordance with these rules:
Personal attacks/hostility toward others:

Online Conflicts:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...conflicts.html
We will deal with spammers and trolls. The best way to get rid of a troll is to not feed it. When you see it, don’t respond to it, report the post and it will be dealt with.
We really want this to be a forum where people (new and old) can come for information and exchange of ideas. The general tone of this section currently is not one that promotes new users and guests to feel at home and welcome. We’d like to change that and we ask for your help to do it. We’re all Corvette owners and fans. Let’s let other owners and fans know that they are welcome. Please think about your words before you type them. Let's all try a little harder to play nice together.
Thanks for your time and cooperation.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The C7 section of CF has gained a well deserved reputation for being the "Wild West" of automotive forums; with an unending stream of sarcastic and snarky remarks, name calling, trolling, and intolerance of any dissenting opinions. A "love it or leave it" mind set has taken over, and that makes it very uncomfortable for those of us who have not committed to C7 ownership. I used to spend every day reading and posting on the C6 forum, but have never felt comfortable here, especially since even mentioning the hated Porsche name seems to bring forth a torrent of insults.
I hope that now, as the production cars start getting into the hands of anxiously waiting consumers, we'll see more comments focused on the car itself and fewer on what posters may think about each other. The C7 is the hot topic in the car world right now and has garnered the interest of all car enthusiasts, regardless of what brand of car they may be currently driving. GM appears to have done a really great job with the promotion and execution of this new generation Corvette.
There is a tremendous amount of respect for what GM has accomplished with the C7 .. and the tone of this forum should be a reflection of that.
Paul, again thank you and the other moderators for trying to bring a modicum of civility back to the C7 forum. The car, and the majority of members who both monitor and post here, deserve that.
BTW, I never forgot your help in the purchase of my last C6. You saved me thousands of dollars ... and I still owe you dinner if you ever make it up to the "boonies" of northern New Hampshire.
Thanks, guys!

Sorry, no discrimination allowed here. Must include Mustangs and Vipers too .........................

Perfect. Thanks!
