Expecting QC to catch missing seat emblems is not too much to ask.
Same can, and will, be said for everything, EVERYTHING. And, there will be more examples, for sure. Same next year, and the year after, and the year after, always was and always will be--- WITH EVERYTHING, until the moment human kind attains perfection. All we can all do is aspire and perspire.
I don't know about anyone else, but QC should have a checklist of items. Someone should have checked off on said items and signed off on it. That's how I run my business.
Absolutely no reason stuff like this should slip through the cracks.

Subscribing to this one too, so see how it gets resolved.
So is everyone thinking he got 1 1LT passengers seat and 1 2LT drivers seat, or did the emblem come off? Is there any other way to tell the difference between the 2 seats other than emblem, no emblem?
This is three people's fault. First the seats were not put in the correct order during assembly. Second the person or people installing the seats did not catch it, and finally the people doing quality control didn't catch it. My guess is the same thing happened on the CF dash and someone else got a free CF dash. Hopefully Mine! The main problem is when the first guy screwed up the second two people were too confident in the first guy not screwing up that they never bothered to check it.
Whoever is sorting parts and matching them to cars is screwing up big time. For all we know the Nashville cars are a bunch of pieces on the wrong cars that need to be put back on the right cars
What could be so embarrassing as to not inform your customers? How about building them the wrong car?

The 2LT has heating and ventilation, so it should be easy to differentiate from 1LT.
I hate to say it, but the C7 has always felt like it was being rushed. From the exterior design inconsistency (subjective) from front to rear, debut cars with panel gaps (interior/exterior) and broken emblems on the seats (saw in person,) I am not surprised that these issues are popping up. Throw in all the new technology and things could get worse before better. I hope not, but history might repeat itself.
This has been going on since they started manufacturing cars. Some manufactures are better with QC than others. How many times have you heard never be the first to own a new Launch Edition from any manufacture?. This is true with the C7 or any other product you decide to buy. Being first is not always a WIN. I was at the Ferrari 458 convertible launch & the passenger door on a customer’s car had a gap you could put two fingers through. I found many problems with the car even some leather interior problems. The customer paid over $360k for that car. He wanted to be one of the first to have one in the USA. The other problem today we are all connected with social networking services, computers, car web sites, smart phones and the list grows daily. The good news if we are connected we can gather information the bad is we might not like what we find.
