Chrome wheels vs black wheels

Well, the Black is too black and the Chrome is too expensive. I'm also worried about how the Chrome will hold up. Getting the base and going after-market might be the thing to do.

I would go Chrome, if you never had Black wheels and decide to go with them be prepared, they show EVERYTHING. You think a Black car is bad to maintain, wait until you get black wheels. I have Black wheels, I love them when they are clean, that lasts about 1-2 days. Also the painted wheels chip easy.
Good luck!!!!!

just wish that vossen had a machined lip and not a chrome rim....why I'm doing a TSW...but this looks great and the big deal with machined/black wheel is brake dust really hides well

Don't let the guys who say chrome is for old guys influence you. Simply put, black is a trend and it puts you in the "me too" crowd.
Problem with black is the wheel well is black, tire is black, and then if the wheel itself is black you just get this big blob of colorless space. Putting a silver, chrome, or machined face wheel gives a nice contrasting balance alternating from car body, to wheel well/tire, to wheel. It's a lot less muddy looking and when the young guys are switching to the next trend in a couple years you won't be stuck with those boring black wheels.
Also, if you get something other than black you can plastidip them black to try out black. Keep it dipped if you like it, but the chrome or silver is always available if you just peel the dip away. There are also some great metalics available in plasti dip.

I agree with mitchudkid. The total black look is being replaced , not with chrome, but dark wheels which have some contrasting detail that defines the wheel and tire package. Why spend a large amount of money for something that can not be seen?
So what are people who spend millions on one car getting for wheels? Certainly not huge black holes in their wheel wells.

Didn't order them (on the car when I bought it) but i like them. Everyone's tastes are different.
I would prefer polished aluminum.
