The plant has developed a new paint process for 2016 silver applications I'm told. Produces a brighter, more uniform, color.
Silver, by far, highlights the lines of the C7 better than the other colors. Love them all though.

I generally just lurk and learn here- but- my 2014 blade silver has absolutely no orange peal- if that is due to the clay bar process prior to a full sun tec wrap or just an odd ball nice paint job from GM is debatable. That said I was in a Lamborgini dealership yesterday- The new ones had great paint but some of the older models were terrible...go figure..mine cost 70,??$'s and the new ones were 350...I think I obtained a great car at a great price.
First-time Corvette owner... I went with Blade Silver because it really makes the black accents "pop" nicely. The combo of the exposed carbon fiber roof panel w/silver sides, along with the chrome wheels provide some nice additional accenting, as well.
Here's a pic of my "Maiden Voyage" along with a few showroom shots, taken before I grabbed it off the showroom floor! Happy to be one of the newest members of the club!

My 2015 blade silver has very very little orange peel (neither did my '08 victory red). So far I've only seen one small spot of mottling on the lower rear fender.
Built and ordered my can Jan 10th, just got it two weeks ago. First thing I did was have a clear bra installed along with a few other areas. Its beautiful, blade silver 2LT Z51, 8 speed auto, carbon flash hood, mirrors, spoiler and badging. Kalahari interior, magnetic ride control and PDR option. Just put the first 300 miles on it and what a well balanced chassis over my favorite mountain pass. Just removed the wheels and will be powder coating them a darker silver charcoal, or gun metal soon. I want to thank the guys at Wild West Chevrolet in Yerington Nevada for treating me so well >> Cheers Dale

Mid-Ohio with the Porsche Club. I'm under heavy braking at the end of the back straight, top speed on the straight was 141 mph. 2014 C7 z-51 package with ACS side skirts, a Z06 grille and stage 1 splitter. Carbotech X10 brake pads and Motul 660 fluid, otherwise stock.

She's a beauty Verb, are you running the new pads on all 4 or only the fronts, and are those pads still easy on the rotors over time.
I was thinking of only going with the fronts possibly. I will be doing some auto cross which really needs nothing done, but will do a few track days as well.
I was also thinking of installing the cooling rings and leaving them on there since I live in the high desert super dry climate and never get in the rain.
What works best for you as far as tire pressures when up to temp with the inside monitors on the track
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
