I gotta admit, the C7 looks great in all the colors, even white, but after going back and forth on about 4 color combos, silver has crept to the top for me. I think it displays the curves and angles the best, while contrasting the black details without being too overboard. So, lets see everyone's silver C7's!
This is the exact color combo I would do, but with either the solid color roof or visible carbon.
[QUOTE=CSEVEN;1585184579]I was able to get up close and personal this weekend with a number color combos. I was sold on Blade silver,
red seats and calipers
Love the red seats & calipers;however, I like the chrome wheels!
Here's mine1
Picked up my C7 from Mike Reichenbach Chevy in Okatie SC ( near Savannah) today.
My first Corvette.
Dad worked for Chevy for 50 years - yeah "50 years".
Always wanted one - now I got one.
2LT, A8, Black machined alum wheels, Z51 body color spoiler, shark grey vents, red calipers, transparent roof pamel
Wife loves the white, I like the silver. I used to drive hers daily until I got the Z. Drove her car for the first time today after a month, no going back after driving the new Z for a month. You can really feel the extra 200hp
Can anyone tell me why there is such a limited selection of Blade Silver C7's at the dealers?
Silver used to be a more popular color until the Gray's were introduced. Silver is my favorite color on the Stingray, but it is not a top seller so dealers tend to stock more of the colors that are moving. In my opinion, if dealers stocked silver with the popular option combinations, it would sell better, however the forum dealers tend to sell more silver by special order than off the lot. I special ordered my Silver / Black Z51 convertible from Kerbeck and the day I picked it up, there were several potential buyers admiring the car and complimenting the color combo. On the plus side, you usually don't see many silver stingrays around so it's more of an exclusive color. When I was at Kerbeck's Toys for Tots Caravan back in October, my Stingray was the only silver convertible out of hundreds that showed up.
In speaking with other Vette owners, I've heard several comments such as "Although, I like silver, other cars I've owned are silver and I wanted something different on the vette". With silver being one of the most popular car colors overall, I can understand why when it comes to the vette, people want something different but I always found a silver vette to be a sleek color that stands out, shows the lines and gleams. Whenever I would visit Kerbeck's lot to see their incredible selection, that one silver vette among all of the other colors would always stand out and look very sharp to me.
The other issue is mottling where some silver vettes produced came out with an uneven paint job where it looks like gray patches or bands are showing under certain lighting conditions. My car came out perfect but if you search the forum, there are several posts regarding this issue. (see: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ic-owners.html )

Yes, blade silver represents only 4% of sales.
I was at the plant last week and saw 10 arctic white, 9 torch red and only two blade silvers on the line.
Personally I love my bladesilver vert.
