I didn't mean for this thread to be a negative thing! I'm new to Corvettes and also to buying a first year run of a car! In the past, it has just worked out where I have usually bought the last year of that model run and the bugs had all been worked out! I must say that most posts I have read seem to be positive and whatever issues that have come up have almost always been dealt promptly and with customer satisfaction; which is very encouraging! I just meant to give an OBSERVATION! From what I know about the C7 so far I like! I am a FAN and really look forward to having one of my own next year!

Look at the positive side!
CF members posting their concerns in a sticky enable us to track the major teething issues that come up with C7. This will hopefully enable GM to fix them faster than they did with the C6 generation .
Would you really want to hear about every single airplane that lands safely? How about a text message for each one? (That'd be just 3,166 text messages an hour for planes here in the U.S. alone!)
If there were actually a ton of issues with the C7, this thread would be exploding with angry owners. What you're seeing is the hyping of small issues because a new car that GM touted to be "perfect from the factory" has some minor (and even in a few cases, major) issues.
There was a thread floating around here I'm going to dig up that had a poll of whether the car was perfect, had some minor issues, or was a lemon. There were FAR more cars that were not lemons and still lots more cars that were issue-free. I couldn't even imagine how bloated this forum would get if everyone posted a new thread for each and every day they drove their C7 and something didn't break. I'd say there'd be (on this forum alone) a good 7-8 pages of threads added every single day. That's a lot of threads. There'd be 7 threads started by me alone.
VIN 1363, Z51, 7 Speed, NPP, MAG and several other options. Great fit, finish and overall quality. Car runs like a dream, I have not had this much fun in many years. Doors, hood and rear lid close effortlessly. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Sounds like the car is phenomenal ! If gm would lift their constraint and make mine I'd be a happy man !!!!
Man I can't tell you after owning this car for the past two weeks how it just gets better each day. It is kind of like learning the feel of seat of the pants driving. The car just feels like part of you as you try new things and master them with confidence . I have owned a lot of sports cars in the past but this one makes an average guy feel confident . This is the ultimate toy !!
I only recommend you A. have the dealer check all fluids, oil rear differential etc and B. Don't let the dealer clean up your car after arrival, they usually do a poor job and will leave micro scratch marks on your paint.
So, I've been reading the "C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread" and it's depressing! Does this car have more issues than other first year cars made in the past or is it just so easy to read about them on forums like this one? I'm hoping these issues are just normal first release bugs to be fixed at the factory later! I will say though, it does appear that most dealers are addressing these problems and that parts come pretty quickly from Bowling Green!
You thought C7 was going to be different than any other Corvette before it in first year reliability? GM has never been able to get first year platforms right from the start. Guess what C8 will be no different. Never ever buy a first year GM platform especially when your hard earned $70K is involved. They will have it all nailed down by 2016.

If they are still playing around with these stupid issues in 2 years they will lose a lot of sales to people that want exactly what they order and a decent level of build quality.
