I would have trouble if I left the pistol in my IWB holster at 4:30, but I have found a place to rest it where the grip is easily accessible with the way I normally sit in my vette. When I enter or exit, it only takes a few seconds to shift position.

I once ran into a brand new C6 owner at an area highway rest stop - he had never owned a Vette before and was stuck at the rest area. Seems he started his C6 and was called into the house by his wife. While inside, he laid the FOB down, forgot about it and they both drove off. They stopped at this rest area - 100 miles from home - and shut the car down. Getting back into the car to leave and.... well....you know what happened.

I have been driving convertible Corvette's since I was 18. I have lived in Michigan, Buffalo and Florida. I know that I have to be aware of my surroundings just as I am in my daily driver.

Back in 1985 when I was driving home from the small rural dealership where I had ordered and bought my C4 the thought occurred to me that the vehicle I was driving was worth an amount of money that people have been known to kill other people for. So I cranked up Betty Davis Eyes on the new-fangled Bose Corvette sound system, down shifted 4+3 tranny into second, marveled at my digital dash display, banked into a canyon curve and never thought about it again
