That looks like a sweet solution. I have an Escort but could move that to my other vehicle and purchase a V1. Does the OBD port provide switched power or is it powered all the time?

The problem with Blendmount is the cost! There are similar mounts for less than 1/2 the price!

They are pricey but you are paying for OEM-like quality. None of the others work as well as the Blendmount.

Default Fix Vibration with Passport Max in Sticky Mount

Fixed a problem with my Passport Max mounted in the new "Sticky Mount." Although I like the new mount, the detector was vibrating excessively. Called Escort Tech but no help. found a solution in a detctor forum and a simple source for the dense foam piece added which solved the problem. This is a pic:

Full details are at the end of the free PDF of the C7 wiring details available on my web site: www.netwelding.com/reports_vette_info.htm

FYI I did some research and the V1 Savvy accessory works with the Escort Passport 8500. I ordered one and indeed it does work. I wired my Escort to the Savvy in the OBD port and it works like a charm

Do you think it would work with the 9500?

Did you have to splice the 9500 end in to the vi savvy end?

Blendmount does not have a C7 specific mount yet. They say they are working on it.

If you want to mount your escort or V1 under your mirror then contact Ed at Great Lakes Trophies. I have used his C7 mount and it works great and the price is right. He has done custom work on the bracket so it fits the C7 mirror.

Mounted just behind the HUD screen with velcro, works good power from accessory power supply.Good news when you turn the car on it comes on and when you turn the car off and open the door it goes off.I used the original supplied coil cord.It does not look bad.
This was the easy way. With no power source on the mirror the only to go for me.
