Calling out any C7 owner to run my C6!

The C7 auto will win from a dig for sure....2500 rpm stall vs 1500 in the C6.

Scraping the splitter.
My buddies C5 with headers, Intake and tune inched on a C7 the other day.... And my LS3 inches on him.. I'm all stock....
Bottom line is, the cars are so close that the better driver is going to win every time...
As far as mods go.... LS3's are making just as much power as the new LT1 with the same mods.

Not saying my car is faster than a C7 but I do think the cars are close enough that it could come down to the better driver...

Maybe this is the college football BCS poll format of drag racing. If Auburn can beat Alabama when then were number, surely they can beat #1 FSU right now.

auto vs auto-c7 ftw by 1-2 cars
manual vs auto-automatic ftw pending m6 c7 drivers skills
manual vs manual-better driver ftw
all races need to be similar fuel level and driver weight for accurate comparison...otherwise a featherlight driver in a c6 with the fuel light on will beat a c7 with a full tank and heavyweight driver as the extra power will be offset by the extra weight

My C6 LS3 M6 car had Kooks Headers, Ported Intake manifold, and NICE tune on 93. THere are some other bolt ons, but i'm not listing everything.
C6 dyno'd 421whp/425wtq
My 1LT Z51 M7 car dyno'd 417whp 417wtq
Both of us are experienced drivers, and I pulled 118mph out of that build (without E85) on my C6. We made 5 street runs from 40-140mph and ever other race we would exchange wins. I would either pull him a car or he would pull me a car. They are DEAD *****. I was very impressed with my LS3 given the sever trq disadvantage however, in the same light I was very pleased to see how well the C7 fared with a tastefully modded C6.
**Note**
Dyno's were back to back and no more than 25 mins appart

IMO it's going to be more like 4-5 cars.

If it does turn out that the cars are exactly the same speed (or very close), maybe you can teach him how to drive his car to keep up with those 11.5s.
Just outa curiosity, how do you enjoy driving the C7 vs the GT-R?

Drifting
I ran my full bolt on LS3 the first day i got my C7. Drivers race. I would either pull a car to 140mph or he would pull a car to 140mph. The LS3 alone doesn't stand a chance... Please just except reality... the new corvette is faster/better than the last. Get used to it
I absolutely agree that at the drag strip, the C7 will simply cut deeper and deeper 60' times because of it's torque surplus, and get down the track quicker then a C6, any given location/day/scenario assuming equal drivers. I also agree, auto to auto goes to C7 if there is that big of a difference in the stall speeds, again, assuming equal drivers.
However, the LT1 isn't some top end screamer vs the LS3. They have fairly similar curves up top. So for a bolt on(intake, full exhaust, tune I'm assuming?) LS3, which puts down a hair better rwhp #'s then the LT1, to not be able to pull consistantly on a Z51 C7 seems funky. With high speed highway runs, the C7 huge torque advantage at 2000rpm's doesn't mean much of anything. So now, assuming 420whp(C6) and 410whp(C7), we're left with:
C6(~3220bs) 7.67lbs/whp
C6 Z51(~3270) 7.79lbs/whp
C7 Z51(~3440) 8.39lbs/whp
Anyone can feel free to correct those numbers, but it would appear no matter how you fudge the numbers, in any direction, a bolt on C6 has a noticable edge.
Was your car a base or Z51 C6? While being almost 50lbs lighter then a Z51, the base(C6)vs Z51(C7) gearing would certainly make an impact.
