Your absolutely right brother! And...I just heard there's a convertible model coming too??? Not sure I will be able to wait 2 years for that one! I tell you its going to be a painful summer watching all you guys/girls enjoying your stingrays...Love the Stingray but damn that Z06 is the MARINE CORPS of Corvettes and I would kill myself every time I saw one and didn't wait!

So...The waiting begins!

As for resale, you will get more for the z06 then the base. However, you might make up the difference if you only spent 3k or so more for a blower than say around 15K or more for a z06.
HUH!

Having owned both Corvette coupes and convertibles, a removable roof is not in any way comparable to a convertible. The noise and air flow in the cabin is completely different, and the "openness" just isn't there with the roof removed. In addition, you can put the top and down with the push of a button on a convertible, but the taking the roof on and off on a coupe is a PITA. I'm also torn between the Z06 and vert, but I'm going to stick with a vert.
Just my .02 cents...

I haven't read all the posts but for me if I could afford the new Z06 it's a no brainer! Wait for the Z06 man! Oh and please don't buy a C7 and add the wide body panels, that is poser-ish...I mean if you can get the real deal why make it a wana be man? Oh another thing, if you mod the base stingray to Z06 performance levels good luck with your warranty not to mention your base C7 with the bumped up HP still won't beat a new Z06 around a track...just because the HP numbers are similar you need more then that to match all the engineering involved in the development of the Z06. All this I say assuming money is not a problem for you...good luck and post pics of the new Z!!!

I agree...I had a C6 coupe that I sold not too long ago because of anticipation of buying the C7. I mean the removable roof was not too much of a PITA but I get what you mean...Im hearing a convertible Z06 is coming? Not sure if its rumor or not but even so Im sure that will take the wait to over 2 years and that my friend is NOT happening!

Anyway, what are you gonna do? C7 or Z06?

If it were me and I truly wanted the Z06, that's what I would wait for.

True, but it will be more than just body panels. You will have to remove the rocker panels also as the rear vents are incorporated into the rockers. The rockers are glued on and you need to take a chisel to remove them. But, it could be done. Just not as easy as it was with the C6.

Default Great to have this decision to make right!

You have two great choices. Obviously it truly depends on your financial means and emotional needs.

For my .02$ I would drive what ever nice car you have now and get the Crazy BA Z06 next year. That's what I hope to do. Buy my first Z for my 50th Birthday July 2015... God willing.

Until then I will save $$$$ and enjoy my awesome C6!

If you can afford to buy a C7 now and take the financial hit next year to trade or sell it then, buy the C7 now and enjoy your gift!

Hope this helps!

And bypass the headers....waste of money. Or just wait until they introduce the shorter headers like Calloway.

Buy a C7 now, I would not buy the Z06 the first year (Demand will be to high and with all the New Stuff it will have growing pains for sure), that gives you a while to see if you even crave it down the road and you get to enjoy the C7 in the mean time.
