Default Travel Buddy cup holder

Anyone know if the old C6 Travel Buddy drink holder works on the C7? It was one of the best mods on my C6.

Yes. accessory would be a better description. DO YOU KNOW IF THIS ACCESSORY WILL FIT?

Had the single version in my C6 but thought the location of the passenger grab handle would make it impractical in the C7 - even if it did fit. With the C7's cup holder insert, thought perhaps the proper water bottle would work. It worked for a 0.9 “g” right hand turn but in a situation when I stopped very quickly, the insert and water bottle tilted and water spilled all over! Tried several things but finally decided to “glue” the insert so it could not tilt! This is truly a mod since once done there e is no turning back. More difficult than it looks since the insert has thin walls and is hollow. I made a wood insert and glued it to the bottom. Full details at netwelding.com It works fine now and is far enough back not to be in the way when shifting.

It’s not the number of cup holders that is at issue; it is the Vette cup holders are very shallow and can’t hold a cup (in my case a water bottle) without it tipping over when the Vette is driven like it should be! The C6 was worse than the C7 and thought I could get by with the proper shaped bottle and some felt pads to make it fit tight. That worked until when making a sudden stop from about 30 mph, the insert that holds the bottle tipped up in the rear and caused the full bottle to fall over! That is why I glued the insert to the bottom. It will no longer hold glasses etc., but in my case that was not important, a water bottle is!

Darn! I traded my 2012 and left the cupholder in the car because I assumed it wouldn't fit. Ordered a new one for my 2015. The grab handle obscures it so I can't see it unless there's something in the rearward cupholder. But it frees up the console cupholder to be used for other stuff.

Yes, I put the single from my C5 in, but the double also fit. Just spray painted it black.
