Default Software Version?

I took my C7 in Monday because a piece of the undercarriage buckled on the passenger side. They said it had to be replaced and ordered the part.

While there, I asked them to do the software update for the HVAC/illumination issues. Once completed, my software version says 23427521 but I can't find any information regarding this version.

Does anyone know how this is different from the other version numbers I found on this forum?

Thanks.

The dealer updated my software about 3 weeks ago, shows version 23427521.

I would also like to hear more about the undercarriage issue.

Mine shows 23427523, late Nov production, I have the non NAV radio so thats why it may be different.

They checked mine before I took it home a week ago and they said it was all up to date on updates. I dont have any IP 'dusk' issues, but my climate control is odd to say the least. From what I read the climate control is normal..

Thanks all. I was hoping for a list of issues resolved in this version, so I emailed customer service. If I find anything I'll post it here.

Regarding the undercarriage issue, I should have been more specific. There is a piece of plastic (?) on the passenger side which has buckled a little. It is noticeable when you approach the car from that side.

So what are we looking at? It isn't obvious exactly what body part (or area) that pic shows.

This is just behind the passenger side front wheel well. I have attached a photo circling the issue; the plastic piece has dipped in the center.

Ahhhh.. the liner. I had a feeling that might be what I was seeing. Thanks for the confirmation!

Should be a minor fix

If I had to guess, the displayed software number (mine currently shows 23427521) is a compilation of several updates. There are about 25 modules that I can find that will accept software updates and each has a history of numbers as to what was required for the update.

For my Z51 A6 VIN #2498, there are about 15 modules that need some sort of update and each module has a list of specific updates and update codes. There are no dates associated with the update so it's hard to determine if the update has already been applied or are required at this time. My car was produced in late October 2013 and has never been updated so I know it needs a few tweaks.

Attached is the info for one system and again is specific to my vehicle. Please don't ask where I got this because I would have to lie and say it magically appeared.

Go to infotainment system settings and select software version. You will find software versions for gracenote, maps, system, etc. The one you would want is for "system". Mine shows last 4 digits of 1791, built 12/19/13 and no updates since.
