My state is 35% sides and rear. While I love 10% or 20% I am not willing to deal the the hassle is will bring. Its also difficult to back down my long driveway at night with mirrors with 10% tint.
I did 30% ceramic tint on the doors, sides and back. It looks good and when I was recently stopped the officer did not say a word a about my tint.
C7 windows (side and rear) are already "tinted" 70%. So whatever tint you add remember to multiply your % by .7 to get the actual value. (So 35% becomes 24.5%.)
In TX sides can't be less than 25% so to be legal you can't go lower than 35% on the sides, no limit on rears.
Maybe it's just me but the factory tints are best. Glad I live in a no tint needed state.
Dark tint on new car equal cops! Here there they are the only ones you see with illegal tint. I like all the sun I can get.
Too Dark (actually anything darker than factory) tint ruins the look of a car! I bought a car tinted and had it removed!
I have a couple of questions.
I am just tinting the back window and the two small sides.
My tinter uses 3m Crystalline - is that a good material?
I don't want it too dark, so I will be going with 50%, which I am told when added to the factory tint becomes 35%.
