35% looks like crap.. 10% on sides, 5% in back and 5% windshield strip.. NICE.. i live in kentucky.
I agree 35% looks like crap. I did 20% on the sides and rear and I am happy with how it turned out. MO has a 35% restriction on the two side windows and you can go as dark as you want on the rears so I am taking my chances.

In my opinion your desired tint is too dark. Yes it looks great from outside but seeing out of it at night is difficult. My 20% causes some challenges seeing out at night but I can deal with it safely. Also 20% is a good compromise because it's tougher for the Po Po to tell if it's legal or not at a glance. 10-5% there is no question
Make sure they are reputable. I think mine was $220 but they do charge a bit more when it is not of legal %.. plus you will not get a receipt - no paper trail.

What ever you say man! We can agree to disagree. I've been doing 35% on my front windows for the last 20 years and couldn't disagree more. Especially if you have a dark interior, 35% looks just fine!
I've got 35% on my front side windows and 20% on the rear sides and back. Living in California, some of us have to be careful. I also like to be able to see out of my windows so I can spot a LEO. More over, some of us actually like to be able to use our mirrors and windows at night. Anything under 20% and deciphering a LEO coming from behind from any other car at distance is next to impossible. Especially at night. I can spot a LEO from their headlights coming up from well over 1/4 mile behind me under good conditions and I certainly wouldn't want to compromise that.
A couple shot take shortly after getting the car and having it tinted. Notice that you can't even tell the difference between the 35% on the front windows vs the 20% on the rear quarter windows.
C7 windows (side and rear) are already "tinted" 70%. So whatever tint you add remember to multiply your % by .7 to get the actual value. (So 35% becomes 24.5%.)
In TX sides can't be less than 25% so to be legal you can't go lower than 35% on the sides, no limit on rears.

Mine didn't go that low ....I put on 20% the we put a tint meter on it and Mine was 18.5.....

Interesting. I wonder who is lying. GM who says 70% right on the window or the tint manufacturer saying theirs is 20% or the tint meter accuracy. The laws of optics don't lie.
