You are lucky, someone keyed up my two week old BMW way worse that that when it was parked it the middle of nowhere at a home depot. There was no doubt someone had a problem with white BMWs..
Could have just been a kid with a toy or some girl with a biker wallet having her picture taken too.
hopefully it is easily fixed and thankfully it wasn't the whole car
Nope no cameras. I spoke with the General Manager and he is speaking to Marriot Claims Dept. I should hear from them in a couple of days. It just sucks that some people would do such things.... But it looks like it might be able to be blended out.. It's pretty deep though

Unacceptable. Check with Marriott to see if they have any surveillance video of that area.
Major bummer. Hope you can get it repaired quickly and painlessly so you don't have to look at it. Takes the fun out of ownership when things like that happen....

What do you mean he's "lucky"? It still happen. Also that didn't happen from some kid with a toy or some girl with a biker wallet having her picture taken. Gee, get real.
If you can feel it with your fingernail, you've got a lot of work ahead as a DIY , or off to a body shop for $150 or so, because it is in a very visible position, I'd let a pro handle it....

He's lucky its not from one end to the other on every panel. I've had it happen, it sucks, but who knows if it was someone being an *** or just some careless idiot dragging something over it.

+1. I'd check with the Hotel. They may actually have insurance for that too. I'd also file a police report. The good thing is that this type of damage is covered under your comprehensive which wont raise your insurance rates. How deep is it? I've had similar damage color sanded and then buffed out.
I am really sorry to hear this though. That is very painful and I've been in your shoes before.

Yep you can hang a nail on it. I am going to wet sand and polish with a buffer just to clean it up a little until I can get it to a shop. I am on the road to Arkansas. I will be back in Virginia next week and I will get it to a shop then...
2. Your car is black and black is easy to match. It will be very easy to pull the bumper, blend out new black base coat, then they re-clear the entire part. Pop on a new emblem and good as new.
