+1. I'd check with the Hotel. They may actually have insurance for that too. I'd also file a police report. The good thing is that this type of damage is covered under your comprehensive which wont raise your insurance rates. How deep is it? I've had similar damage color sanded and then buffed out.
I am really sorry to hear this though. That is very painful and I've been in your shoes before.
Keep talking to the hotel manager and corporate. My Caddy was keyed in a store parking lot and the store paid for repairs. Also, my SUV was hit by A rouge shopping cart on another occasion while I was inside the store, and the store paid to fix it. Two different stores by the way.
Point is, keep on them.
2. Your car is black and black is easy to match. It will be very easy to pull the bumper, blend out new black base coat, then they re-clear the entire part. Pop on a new emblem and good as new.
There is a lot to be said for non-metallic colors as far as matching goes. Much easier and accurate.
OP, sorry to hear about this. I use car covers extensively, and it helps prevents this type of thing.
I feel your pain, I had vandalism happen to my previous silver 2006 Vette, it literally hurt to see the damage!
The only good news is that it was repaired quickly, and less then a week later looked like new again.
The bad news, you will always have it in the back of your mind and be very cautious where you park in the future.
Good luck on the repair, and post the "after" pics later.
so sorry that happened!!
I don't shop at Walmart or Costco in my Z because of what I have heard. Always drive up and down the parking lot 'til I find a good spot!
[QUOTE=Papas02C5;1586335671]Stayed the night at a the Marriot in Nashville,Tn last night and someone decided to key the front end of my car.... It's about 6 inches above the flags on the nose... Makes me sick
I am sorry about your car. Here is something I do that may or my not keep this from happening to you again. Me and my wife take long road trips every year and stay at different motels every night. We have always taken a cheap car cover (not the ones with the Corvette Emblem) and cover our car every night. No one knows what is under the cover unless they saw you put it on. We have never had a problem. Hope this helps.

I just ordered a cover without Corvette emblems on it from Zips and had it overnighted to my house in Arkansas for the trip back to Virginia. I usually travel with a cover but just didn't this time. Wanted to show off my new car I guess.....
Yep you can hang a nail on it. I am going to wet sand and polish with a buffer just to clean it up a little until I can get it to a shop. I am on the road to Arkansas. I will be back in Virginia next week and I will get it to a shop then...
Well, if you make it to Little Rock, send me a PM & I'd be happy to help. Otherwise, BE VERY CAREFUL, the roads here in Arkansas are for **** right now!!! Additionally we just thawed out from 2"-4" of sleet so on top of the potholes you got all the sand & grit on the roads.
