Yes, the stinger stripe you can order through the dealership is the same as the one that you can have installed on an ordered car. It is a painted and clear coated vinyl. It is made that way and is not clear coated after it is installed.

And I might add the GM clearcoat is nearly invisible , if at all they put it on. A side-by-side comparison of a standard vinyl sticker stripe and the stripe the comes from GM , it's impossible to tell the difference. We've had both cars side-by-side and no one could tell a difference among eight or 10 owners standing around and the vinyl stretcher is half the price.

Glen.....why have you chosen to remove the stinger you just installed from vettex for a painted stinger? Are you happy with the paint and what should I expect to pay. I had planned to order the factory stinger but would prefer it painted if I thought someone wouldn't screw up the hood.

I still currently have the Vette FX stripe...I will remove in the future as I want it painted...but it's a fine look right now,. and looks painted to non CF people (the other 99.9% of the people in the world) Expect to pay $350-450 for a painted stripe...

I think the white is my favorite look for the 2014 Stingray, every one I've seen stops me in my tracks.

We've got a side graphic sport fade, here's a shot of it. Let us know what you think, if you don't mind.

it's a decal - any tint shop can do it - technically, if you understand application, it's a "wet" apply....my shop charged me $50 to apply...

I don't think it looks right because it doesn't start at the top of the vent. Looks like you only had 18" wide material and didn't want to buy wider stock.

JMO,

If this doesn't win you over, nothing would. Love the way the Stinger ties to the dark exposed CF roof, the carbon flash spoiler and mirrors, and the black rims. the dark grill and headlights. Great look.

Do you have a pic from the rear showing the painted b-pillar? I'd love to see it if you do. Thanks!
