Hello,

We are showing you as 4200-Shipped via rail on 3/28/14. Could you please clarify "Expiration Delivery Date"? Is this a term your dealer used? Any info would be helpful, as our system doesn't show expected delivery dates, I'd like to look into this further.

Thanks...does appear we are on the same rail group...report received about an hour ago was the same departure date from Toledo with the vehicle current in Elkhart Indiana at this rail yard: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6667182,-86.0328946,15z

Can you coorelate that with your ONSTAR locator?

If it matches then perhaps we can continue keeping each other updated as things progress?

spaceaholic , I can't track my C7 on OnStar since it left Toledo. I think it is because the signal cannot pass the boxcar. I have to rely on GM CS for the ETTX #

Were you successful at obtaining an ETTX number from GM?

I've asked the GM CS several times for that number and they wont provide it.

Your salesperson can give you the car number so you can track it, if you can't find a Chevy chat rep that will give it out.

A warning about tracking an ETTX number.

You'll find yourself calling the 800 number repeatedly during the day as reports of its location is done in realtime and changes frequently. Also, choosing the FAX option generates lots of paperwork

1 pm: "Oh wow! My car is now in Chicago!"
3 pm: "Oh wow! My car is now is now 100 miles out of Chicago!"

I didn't have a problem with the endless faxes... Now, my wife on the other hand...

She was glad when the car arrived, but I think it was partly because there were no more 15 minute intervals of picking up the phone.

Wonder if GM changed their policy about giving out the ETTX numbers for one reason or another?

Seems to me it was easy to obtain 'em in the past

Some of the chevy chat reps will give it out. I got mine after being denied a few times, and then later my salesman was able to confirm it as well.

If your salesperson won't give it to you then I don't know what to say, it's listed right in the orderbench on your order page. If it's not listed then I would guess the car is not loaded on a train yet.... or the salesperson isn't being fully honest.

I At first when I asked he said he did not know. Hmmm right.
I just sent him an email asking him again.
Then I would call CXS # and enter the six digit number in order to get the location?Thx

CSX at first. Once the railcar reaches the Chicago area, it is transferred to Union Pacific for the trip out West. You then need to call THEIR automated tracking #

Yes, the CS group here has NEVER had access to that. Only the Chev website and the at the 800 # have.

Anyone tried the 800# recently?

Exp of delivery date is printed on the invoice its about 2 weeks out from shipping this use to be a good rule of thumb when to expect cars. All bets are off with the current method of trk rail trk again rail waits for full load of car and then full train to leave for parts of country then the trucks need a full load to go out for del. it's all about hurry up and wait. I don't know how much money GM is saving but the loss of feel good from customers is not being measured for sure. Oh and all the loading and unloading is adding to the chance of a mishap just saying. The old GM use to think people will wait we are GM, not so sure about this way of thinking seems to be creeping back into the way they run the business again.

As a side note tracked my SS and it was updated every morning not 2 times a day just for general info.
