Default Locating your ordered C7

Well, Since my C7 had been built in 3/15/14 and is now parked in Toledo plant, I went to OnStar and then family site to find where my C7 was. I got a location in the parking lot next to the rail transports. Few days later I checked again and it was on the tracks of the loading area. ( inside a box car). It did not show the car and when talking to OnStar they advised that the photo is not current but the location is.
So I checked goggle map to see the area. OnStar stated that Ohio just has light snow so if you don't see snow on the ground it is not current. Google maps show light snow and the parking lot where OnStar says my car is at is not there. The parking lot was empty. So, there is movement and my C7 is loaded and soon I hope will be moving towards Az.

Do this:

1. Go outside your house and stand in clear view of the sky.
2. On your phone bring up Google Maps/Earth and look at the satellite view
3. Punch in your address.
4. Do you see yourself?

We are not at the point where we have Satellite placement on demand for all users.

Any problems where you had to take it back to the dealer for warranty?

I have a Chevy Dealer less than 8 minutes away but the only thing I've approached them about warranty was the door alignment along the bottom/rocker panel. They had no problems with doing warranty - they have a Vette Tech (have for years) and I've dealt with them for many years.

(didn't buy from them because I found a better deal!)

Can you explain how you were able to accomplish this - My TPW was 3/17/14, like you I am in Arizona. Even though I have a VIN, havent been able to obtain an ETTX from gm....thought ONSTAR wasnt even active until the customer took delivery of the vehicle. Would love to sort out where it is (have had conflicting reports its in Toledo or on rail).

Thanks -
Scott

My C7 is paid in full and when that is done outside the State, OnStar contacts you advising you, that you are now entitled to enroll in the OnStar program. If you have to complete your docs then OnStar generally will not let you enroll yet. ( I may be wrong)
Once enrolled in OnStar, you can enroll in their plan that locates your car and that cost is $3.99 a mo. That takes 24 hrs after paying. Then when locating your car the satellite will find your car in close proximity. I printed every time my C7 was moved. Toledo parking lot then on the tracks, ( not showing it is on the train) Next is to get the train moving to Az.

ETTX is ,I was told is the Boxcar where your car is located

Ok..thanks. Given that both our vehicles were produced two days apart and are headed to Pheonix (in my case subsequently to Tucson) bet we will be on the same train. Would welcome a heads up when your ray is indicated as moving again towards Az.

It's either this or bouncing off the walls waiting for your new toy to arrive.

Ask me how I know
