My properly gloved chauffeur follows in his personal C6 and shuts the door without leaving prints. Another group of attendants in an open bed pickup are constantly on alert to shoot down any nearby bird that dares to despoil the car. Don't all of you have properly trained servants???
I believe a shrink could hang out on this site and make enough treating "interesting behaviors" to buy a Bugatti Veyron (or two) in his first year of practice.
The Shrink would have us cleaning the finger prints and bugs off the Bugatti Veyron
Nice to see you guys all seem to have a sense of humor. I also have driven mine in the rain but truth be known, now always by choice.
This is my first Vette and at 63 there's no telling how many more I may get so I like Steve's attitude (though it did seem he came down a lil hard on J18369) about it being a car and it's made to drive! IF I was going to show it . . . Different story.

I wasn't hard on the OP; I think he knows that. I HOPE he knows that. Now, the later poster who took pics of how he closes his door and yells at his kids to do the same is another story.
I'm not far behind you in years. I had cancer surgery in January. I take nothing for granted any more. It really is just a car - albeit a very cool fun car - to me. I drive it and don't worry about a few bugs, fingerprints, dirt, or rain.
Option 1 (what I do...and yell at my kids to do ):
Option 2:
That looks like a good way to lose a finger!
I just make sure that any of the commonly touched areas (this, the fuel door, and the back deck) have extra wax and wipe off with detail spray between washes.

This is too complicated for me. Could someone make a you tube video & do a step by step demonstration. Please do not skip any parts, I'm afraid I might not be able to do it correctly. Your help is greatly appreciated.

The Chevy dude from Louisville might be able to make us a video.

Option #1 works perfect. It acts as a nice little handle to give the door a push and never a fingerprint. It's nice that GM had the sense to index the windows for a nice close every time. To bad they didn't link the indexing to the rear hatch.
I drive this car every day and wash it once a week. It gets dirty. I touch my paint sometimes too!! If I was worried about getting a finger print on the car, I wouldn't be able to drive the car either because it wouldn't be pristine. Drive the car, enjoy it and don't worry about the horror of getting a finger print on the door
I should also mention that the car could possibly get a paint chip at track days too!! The horror!!!
You want to hear something REALLY bad? Sometimes my 3 year old likes to pretend to drive the car and will be in the driver's seat in a kneeling position with his sneakers on. The seat gets dirty!!! He gets so much enjoyment out of it, it helps me get over being such an irresponsible Corvette owner
I use thin microfiber gloves that are impregnated lightly with high-end detailing spray. One use only, of course. I insist all passengers wear them too!

Don't forget the disposable booties, too. And back-end covers in case of fartage.
Lag bolted a push/pull **** right in....but seriously I did put a small piece of 3M protectant where I was getting fingernail/fingerprint scratches. Unless your looking for it, you can't really see it. I shows up in this picture, but its due mostly to the flash and close up. The orange spots are a reflection from an overhead light.
