The MGW doesn't click when you shift. Personally, I think that would become annoying. There really isn't a need for the click as it is really positive in shifting. There is no being partially in a gear.

I'm in 7th gear every day when I'm on the highway. I'll shift into 7th at as little as 65MPH unless I'm accelerating. There is plenty of torque to maintain that speed in 7th without lugging it. Normally highway cruise speeds around here are 75-80 so 7th can really come in handy for me as I have no issue saving a bit on gas by increasing my fuel economy. This includes the use of DOD/Eco mode which I welcome. I average up to 1000 miles a month and fuel costs around $4.30 per gallon right now around here for 91 octane. As such, any savings in a welcome savings IMO.
As I understand it the shifter and box in the C7 is pretty much identical to the C6 right down to the part number on the lower box. The only change being the shift ****. That said the MGW is is work of art and is now sold with the new lower box and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. Anyone experiencing a higher shift effort with the MGW was using the stock lower box and not the new MGW lower box in combination with their shifter.
I had a MGW shifter on my C6 YEARS ago and it was just the shifter. Looking at the videos on George's site, the MGW lower box is obviously the difference maker in terms of shift effort.
I have experience with the MGW in a C6, and of course the stock C7 shifter. My C6 was a 2006 and IMO, the shifter really needed help. I installed the MGW and it was a big improvement, but shifting could have still been improved further.
My C7, on the other hand has been perfect in my view. Nice crisp shifting, no searching for gears and no rattles or anything else weird. If I had to ask GM to improve something about it I really don't know what it would be. But... That's just me.

Through a school zone, where else?
On the interstate i'm usually doing around 85 or so. When cruising down the interstate 7th is like an overdrive. My Porsche Panamera shifts to 7th gear at like 50mph, or less. There is plenty enough of torque in these cars to run a high gear.
BTW, I drove the car today with the shifter.... this should be a mandatory mod for a car like this. For anyone who has never tried one of these shifters... its a night and day difference in not only performance, but shifting feel and feedback.
