Currently, they are $249/day for unlimited mileage. If anyone cares.
Best dough you will spend if you are considering a purchase...
My rental even came with the dash rattle and the hatch that would pop open by itself, or just not close that a few are complaining about in these threads....

I am renting one tomorrow in Fort Lauderdale at Sixt Rental Car on Sunrise Blvd. Costing me about $350 for 2 days. I am renting a yellow with black interior which is the combo I am thinking of getting, but have never loved a car with a black interior. Really like the yellow though so this will give me a good chance to drive it for a couple of days before purchasing. Money well spent IMO.

You'll really like the black if you go with the Alcantara 'suede' inserts. Not hot in the sun, and a lot less cave-y, especially with all of the silver trim.

Where exactly are they renting them for that price? Going out there for a long weekend in August and want to try one out. Rented a 13
'vert last year and it came out to $330 or so for 210 miles after the gas up. Did a Valley of Fire loop down alongside Lake Mead to the Dam. Great drive. Lots of curves. Kinda wondering if there was anything worth driving south west of Vegas this time...

Driving up to Mt. Charleston in August wouldn't be too bad. It's a lot cooler up there than the 110 degrees it will be on the strip.

It does sound like it would be money well spent if you were seriously thinking about buying a C7 - great way to try one on for size.

With the size you say you are (6'5"/235#), could it be you were inadvertently hitting the rear hatch button with your left knee that is low on the dash just left of the steering wheel? The happened to me at least 5 times when I first bought my C7. I had to laugh when finally figuring it out. Hasn't happened again in over 8 months. That button location is an issue.

Totally agree on the button! Not the best place for it…

I was finding the hatch open after it being closed and locked in the parking lot. thought it kinda odd till I remembered reading about it on one of the forums..

Great response!! Know-it-alls are plentiful round here! Sorry to hear that the C7 isn't a good fit for you but at least you had a few days of fun in it!

I believe it was 100 to Hertz (plus a reserve bunch of probably 25-50%), and then trailing down from there.

Across all companies in the entire 50-states, could be 500, could be 1000. Hard to know with all of the specific exotic companies having 3 or 4 each in major cities, etc.

But then, those might count as 'business' purchases since they're not the typical rental agencies we think of (Hertz, Alamo, and so forth).

I think the number would be under 250 across the big boys at airport locations.

Had a neighbor tell me that while visiting Oahu, a rental car company there had 3 C7's. He claims the agent told him that they were 2015's.
My response was "not likely...they were 14's. I couldn't convince him!

I'm sure he was telling the truth - the agent was just incorrect, as you said!

That's okay, though - no earth-shattering differences. Sometimes you just nod and move on with things like that when people don't get it. You could tell him the official production start date for the 2015, but that still may not be enough.
