Very cool video. I think that's a 430 scuderia and yes, it was damn quick. Interestingly I was out with my friend in his italia this weekend and if he got the jump on me he took off and walked away easy however when we were at like 55 and both nailed it, I pretty much hung on his back bumper without him getting too far out. He later said, "that vette is so fast". I think the point isn't that it's going to beat all these exotics, but that it doesn't get embarrassed with cars that cost 4x as much. Love it!

Was that the new Daytona Sunrise Orange? If it is first time I have seen it. Doesn't appear to have any metal flake in it if it is, more like the Torch Red paint although I think they call it a metallic paint. Seems to pale in comparison to the old Atomic Orange, one of my favourite colors on the 'Vettes of past.

No the car has been wrapped in orange, I think the car is actually black. I drove all these cars with xtreme earlier this year and yes the vette is not in the class with the 458 or Iambo, but it is still a great car. Also to those that say the base vette is not worth having, xtreme runs this same non z51 hard, for days on end at tracks all across the country, most people will not get close to pushing its limits. They did have to let it cool a few times but again 99% of owners will never treat their car like this

The C7 is a fabulous street car, but is down on a little on power to be playing in that league. A supercharged C7 by one of our top forum tuners or the upcoming Z06 will level that playing field ( at HUGE less money).

the 430 is an old design. the 458 is a lot faster. I was playing around with an Aventador. All I can say is OMG. The new exotics are just stupid fast......
The vette will do ok. Against a P1, or 918, Aventador. The is no chance. That's why they cost so damn much... They are race car quick on street tires.

Remember, a Z51 starts at $58,000 but can be optioned out to over $75K and the same thing will happen with the Z06, just add $20K - $25K to the price.
So yes, there will be an $80000 Z06, just not as nicely equipped as your 2LT.

I had a run with my friend's tuned 458 italia in this pic, and I got walked pretty hard. My friend just pulled away steadily, which was expected because he's 600 to the wheel tuned and I'm 460 to the crank. Base z51 c7 is quick but honestly not fast enough to play with the big boys in straight line runs. That's what that z06 is for.

Come on guys!! All you guys on here are a "motor-head" of some kind or you would be driving a civic. This u-tube video is interesting but geeeezzzz!! My 12 GS would be a bit behind the C7 as expected but: there is NO WAY a 460hp, 3300lb car of any kind will be comp beside a 650hp+ 2800lb car. Where is the C7 Callaway? the C7 Linger? Geeezzz a C6 ZR1 would be at least a better comp choice to a street stock C7. Like most of you guys, been around and owned fast cars most of my life, and as I said above, C7 street stock vette rolling up against 550/650+ lighter cars is not a true test of the C7. Bring out a prepped ZR1, Callaway, new (or old prepped ZO6) ZO6 and run the same video and lets see some apples to apples comp runs. I'm in a great C6 GS and plan on going to a new C7 soon, but I'm not expecting to run up against 458 Italia's -- come on get real 1320!!

You do know the 918 and P1 are hyper exotics which run 9 second quarter miles @ 150mph...
Those cars shouldn't even be used in the same sentence as the Z06, that is downright offensive.
