I think it is about over. At least it is around here. I did notice it though when they first came out.
We are now going into the second year so they should start blending in now.
It's really weird the effect that the C7 has on German car owners I've owned many new Corvettes. BMW, MB, and Audi owners basically ignored them. But from the first day I got the C7 back in September I was chased down by so many BMWs and the occasional Benz and Audi. Taking pictures and asking questions.
I thought it would be over by now but the car still causes a stir. And even now I still occasionally overhear the word "Ferrari"
GM did do a great job with the C7. I know I stop and look at the cars whenever I see one parked.
Yeah me too! I had my oil changed today, at Stingray Chevrolet (great job BTW) and saw this begging for some attention. There were 6 other verts, but this one is calling my name.......

I'm not a fan of Silver and not a fan of Black wheels, BUT, this picture sure changed my mind. This combination of the Carbon Flash Hood Stripe, Carbon Flash Z51 Spoiler, Red interior, Red Calipers (all of what I have as options on mine) just made me have a change of heart and accepting of this combination!!. One fellow VNAM vet to another, YOU NEED THIS CAR!!

I think that's because Chevy was going after European car drivers with the C7. They got me.
My five previous vettes I thought were cars to drool over, but this one gets the most I have ever had! GM did a good job, car and marketing the product both.
It's somewhat died down here in Los Angeles. Still not many around, but certainly not getting that many pictures taken anymore. I like that because for the first 2 months it was making my passengers feel uncomfortable.
I'm certain that I spent 2 extra hours that I hadn't planned on talking to various people about the car on Thursday alone. Plus a big smile and thumbs up from a guy when I was driving to work and a few Corvette waves, too. And on top of all of that, one lady was taking pictures when I left the grocery store as well. This car does draw some attention, especially in Torch Red. I've really enjoyed it so far though, everyone has been cool and thankfully no problems as of yet.

EVERYTIME I take out my C7 Crystal Red beauty...I get a thumbs up.....or head turnining admirers...sat in line for the Customs booth to enter Canada on Memorial day weekend...had numerous people give me thumbs up...or yell out... beautiful car...so much for staying low key...LUVIN' IT!
It hasn't died down here in Northern CA. Still getting people whipping out their ... phones (haha)... to take videos as we're driving. Every stop - drug store, Starbucks, gas station, everywhere she draws attention.
Probably 30 butts have sat in that driver's seat (car not moving of course) - it's fun to share the experience and "spread the love" of the C7.
And I don't find having a Cyber Gray Metallic very stealthy!
BUT, one thing different is I went to my small Chevy dealership to get my C6 serviced, and they actually had a C7 in inventory (VERY unusual) - Arctic White with Kalahari w/ suede COMPETITION SEATS! And they let me sit in it. I LOVED the comp seats - found them really comfy and man did they look good.
Lets see, 15k miles on the C6, and I just read a post about another gal who just hit 250K miles on her 2007. Looks like we won't be a 2 C7 family any time soon.

Yes, GM did a great job. Yesterday I went to play golf and a lady at my club said, "you are driving a fine piece of art." Very cool. It does draw attention.
Today as I was leaving Micky D's, two guys in a BMW convertible told me, "Your Corvette is beautiful." I thanked them. They then said, "You are a beautiful woman." I thanked them again. I got my beautiful body into my beautiful Stingray, fired her up with the loud exhaust fully open and drove away with a big freaking smile on my face!!
