I have 4,200 miles on my car since May 1st. I don't think there has been on single time I have been in it without some type of fan fare...
TODAY- I am Arby's having lunch. I watch a guy walk up to my car to take a picture (pretty common experience). Then some guys stands up from 4 tables away and yells: do you charge people for taking pictures? I don't even know this dude, he must have seen me walk in. Unbelievable! Then he says: beautiful car.
What an enjoyable experience has been to see so many people moved by the Stingray. Two days ago a Miata owner was admiring the car while I was in the store. I walk out, and he says: that thing must be a blast to drive. How much was it, 100K? I thanked him, and said: nope, Z51's start out $58,000. Should have seen his face, priceless.
Today I walk out of where I had lunch, guy is walking around and around my C7. Turns out his favorite brother in law works at Bowling Green Assembly, and he talks and talks about Corvette incessantly. Guy here in MI delighted when I tell him to sit in C7 and I'll take a picture on his phone. First time he has seen the car his brother in law so proudly makes! He can't wait to send his brother in law the picture!

ahh that ain't nothing I had 3 college girls taking pictures and winking at me. Plus this 18 year old girl from my gym flirts with me like when are you going to give me a ride right in FRONT OF MY WIFE.
Yesterday it was an Audi that made a rapid lane change as we were coming up to a stop light so I'd pull along side of him. No discussion, but camera phones were going off.
Today, pulling up to a stop light on my way home from work a guy asked if it was a 2015 and if it cost around $60000. Made me feel a little bad; granted, I do have the "poverty package" (1LT), but he was right on the numbers as I paid $59,915!! He could have guessed $70,000 and I would have felt a lot better!!
I think it's going to be a while before the interest wears off. Those 30,000 plus that are spread out around the world are still pretty new to the average eye out there. So after a couple of C7 years under our belt, I think the attention will subside. Until then we'll just have to sit back and enjoy the attention, that is "if" you enjoy this kind of attention...
Get used to it. One day at the gas pumps some gal goes berserk taking pictures. Bystander tells her husband "you almost lost your wife over a Corvette." Best yet some guy sticks his head out the window of his pickup and screams "HOLY SH**!."

I stopped at Discount Tire yesterday to get some winter tire prices. I assumed they had already seen a C7 at the store. Turns out mine was the first one! I let everyone sit behind the wheel, and we chatted about the car (and GM and Michelin). I was there about an hour....those guys are all into cars. BTW, Michelin has a new winter tire, but it's pricy...Pilot PA 4....better to stick with the Pilot AS 3.

I was at the Kansas City version of Cars & Coffee tonight (it's called Fast Fridays). I was in front of the building of KC Trends, who holds Fast Fridays every other Friday in the Spring and Summer.
I pulled right in line with those "slacker" Ferraris that normally line the front of the building. I completely opened up the Stingray-engine hood, hatch, rolled down both windows and opened both doors.
I am certain there were just as many people (and maybe more) congregating around my C7 as there were around the 4 Ferrari's that I shared the front of the building with.
