Likely to be one driving certificate for the new C7. However, with arrangement, I am told, the wife can attend the class for a small price and "maybe" drive the track with an instructor.
Sam
A guest can ride with instructor at no cost and they can attend all the classroom stuff too. The staff is fantastic and will give the guest a lot of attention.

Been thinking about signing up for the promotion and I would like to take my wife. The big question is, while I am having fun on the track is there anything in the local area to keep her entertained / busy?
And does the instruction / track period occupy the entire day or is it limited to a few hours, like 4 or so?
Thanks,
Not much... For the most part this is a guy thing. One lady out of 20 in my class, bunch of guys having beers at the club house at the end of the day, etc.
Class starts at 7:00 am, ends at 3:00 pm. Lunch is an hour, usually around 11 or so. Class sessions seemed to go quickly, lasting perhaps 15 - 30 minutes. The instructors seemed intent on giving you the information as efficiently as possible so as to get you back on the track. I can't say exactly how many track sessions we had each day but it was at least 6, maybe 7 on day three.
As for day three... Before I went someone told me that's when it all comes to together. That was an understatement. I cannot imagine going without doing day three. You lead in the morning and are let lose on your own after lunch.
Those still anticipating going, I envy you. But I'll get over it because I am signing up for level two. Don't know what I'll do after level three, tho...
just do it again ,its just as much fun the next time ,I've done the ZR 1 class ,level 2 ,level 3, then I did the C 7 owners level 1 class with my 16 year old son on July 7th ,8th ,9th ,and had just as much fun , going back for level 3 again Sept 22nd and 23rd

Yeah, just keep doing it! I've done level 2 three times now just because its cheaper than level 3 and you get just a much track time.
I don't believe it is a "guy thing" ... It is a driver / car person thing. I was there the same week as Greg but the Monday thru Wednesday class. There were three women (including myself) and there have been others before us.
There is lots for the spouses to do regardless of their gender.
Spouses are welcome to have breakfast at the club house, attend all classes, go to the Paddock areas to watch the various in car exercises, be a passenger in the instructors car and have lunch at the club house. They are also able to join their spouse to be transported around the resort in the 15 passenger vans. The staff go out of their way to include guests and they are very welcomed.
My husband came with me, there were other husbands that were there with their wives and there were some wives who accompanied their husbands. There were also some folks that came with friends.
You will either have a rental car (or you will drive your own car) so spouses can also choose to spend the day in Vegas. My husband opted to spend one of the three days visiting museums.
I'm going Aug 11-13 3 Day class with the free lodging offered in July & Aug. I am so excited and a tad bit nervous. Only drag raced, never did any road track racing. Can't wait to go over 100!

I stand corrected!!! My most humble apologies! I suppose I was looking at it from a more personal standpoint - neither I nor my wife gamble, (I've got other ways of disposing of cash...) and unless I missed something I didn't find a ton of things to do in Pahrump. That said, you are certainly correct about spouses being able to attend the classes and ride with the instructors. It's really up to the spouse as to whether they think they'd find that interesting.
You get free room for the number of days of class. I arrived on Tuesday for a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday class. I had a free condo for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. I wanted to pay for it on Friday night but was told there were weekend activities going on and that it would not be available. It's available during July and August, probably because of the heat. As it goes I found the heat a non-issue. I had a much bigger problem with the heat when I got back to 95/95 in South La. (95 degrees, 95% humidity - and then it rains.) I hate July!

Wives or any other companion can join you at no extra cost for the class. They can get all the rides they want with an instructor driving. My wife went out 5 times. They cannot ride with a student. There isn't even an extra cost for the room (the Chevy special covers one free night, we stayed for three nights. The school may be running a special for the rooms as well now). The only extra cost is for the lunches. They are provided for the students. Companions cost an extra $15 per lunch for the buffets.

Not trying to hijack. Seems related.
Thx
The special is based on one person per VIN. That's why you have to have your VIN before you can schedule the class. Your companion would have to pay full price if they wanted to take the class and drive.

Just wanted to let everyone know, you can ask the person you schedule the class with for late checkout on your last day. If no one is scheduled in your room the next day, you will be approved. That's what we did.

I did the class Jul 1-3 and they were not giving free rooms. I only got the one free night Chevy is paying for. Wish I had known this and I would have waited a little longer to get the free rooms.
