Feel i should put something on to protect the sides of the car. I've seen the GM ones. Is there anything out there that looks nice and covers a bit more without looking like it belongs on my GMC Pickup ?

Just had my OEM put on today. They look good, at least to me. They are on sale at GM right now. I think they are $54.95 a pair. That's down from $75.00 a pair.

Looks great. It's always hard to tell from the photos but does the color match really close? I have a NRB on the way and was considering this route. If you have any other pics could you post them up.

The color match is perfect. This is my set before Jhonathan shipped them. I'll get you a better picture this weekend if you wish.
Congrats and best of luck with your NRB!!
Regards,
Jim

IMO, painting the splashguards makes them look MORE noticeable. Much of the trim on the car is black. The splashguards look "subtle" to me in black but overdone in a bright body color. Obviously, some will share a different opinion on the matter. Much of the chip risk is really where and how you drive. IF you have gravel or lots of highway driving you will see chips no matter what you do. Most of my driving is urban and I'm not a high mileage on the vehicle guy - acquired my C7 in December 2013 and I have 840 miles to date on it - so I have no chips or damage whatsoever.

I'm just now making a set to go IN FRONT of the rear tire! There is so much stuff coming from the front wheels because of the sculpted out rocker panels. My goal is to protect my new HRE wheels which took a lot of trash during a recent downpour, as well as road tar dots coming from up front. I think I have it licked....

Yes, will do. I have one side done, and I'm going to drive with it on for a while to see what happens as far as improvement. Neat thing about it is I used tape plus one screw that is back there a couple inches inboard. It is solidly attached. Also, made it out of an old center air dam section from my C5, so it is tough as hell!
