MacMulkin
given MacMulkins history it's never been their true nature to do something of this. But people are always quick to hang someone as we can see.
The interesting part to me is Yes, if people who had orders in early were to be bumped from their first on the list.... it's not good.
But, what Everyone seems to not want to acknowledge is, MacMulkin made an "offer" to people willing to pay $5K more.
It was a Voluntary offer and they were not saying everyone now had to pay $5K over MSRP.
They specifically "asked" if, anyone was "willing to pay more and then they listed the options.
Nobody said they had to take the "option" to pay more.
If everyone decided not to take the Pay More Option, then they all get the car for MSRP

For all anyone knows they may have been bombarded with people telling them they would pay more to get their Z06.
Hell if people are throwing money at you and Volunteer to pay more, it would give most pause before refusing

IMO I agree, again, it wasn't a good move if some were going to be bumped lower on the list.
But they're known for being upstanding with the way they've run their Corvette sales for years now.
And I could be wrong, but have my doubts they just all of a sudden, over night, decided it was time to screw customers for the sake of a few extra dollars

Just my Opinion and I wouldn't be so quick to judge

not saying it was right. But if you or anyone else thinks any of the other Forum vendors have never done something similar in the past, Apparently memories are not as good as some think they will be.
Only difference I see is not everybody felt the need to make a big issue out of it because it wasn't the first time other dealers have done something that many consider to be wrong, fill in the blank ___________

All those other dealers are still in business and so will many more, but, now all of a sudden they're the Honest ones

Once the dust settles, Everyone will buy from the cheapest selling Dealer until the C8 comes out, then we'll see all this crying again.

It isn't their selling above MSRP that has people upset, it's what appears to be a broken promise. Personally, I'm done with them forever. If I can't trust them to followup on a promise to sell at MSRP first-come-first-served, how can I trust anything they say?
