I did not make any comment nor reference to best looking.
Members here are far more educated on the Corvette than the general public and know a C1 when they see it.

The topic of the thread is people's opinions on the best looking Corvette. Since it is clear that your accusation had no connection whatsoever to the actual topic, we were left to draw our own conclusion as to the connection between your accusation and the topic.

Different strokes. After seeing and briefly driving a C4 it took the C6 to regain my attention and the C7 to take it to the next level. JMHO.

There was a light blue split window with matching blue and white interior at a car show early this year that was a work of art so it's impossible to pick just one.

From an aesthetics stand point, the C5 FRC is tops for me. Sleek and looks fast sitting still.

The pre '91 C4s are also a favorite. I prefer the concave rear on them, and even dig the Star Wars dashes on the '89's and earlier.

I like the C7, but then again, I like all Vette styles.

Have you driven a classic Corvette around town?

I voted with my wallet. I debated for about 52 milliseconds last spring as to whether to get a brand new drive everyday C7, or follow my heart and get my dream car (C2).
I am relatively young (Corvette-wise) at 46, so its not just an old-school homer opinion.

For me it's:

C7
C3
C2
C5
C1
C6
C4

The C7 gets a boat load of attention, but I bought it because I loved it.
C2 is next on my grocery list

I think it depends on how you hold the phrase, "all time." My first Corvette was a '56 C1 in 1964. I had a few C1's, C2's and C3's. However, for it's "time," my favorite to this day is still the 1962 C1. Is the C7 in 2014 the "best looking of all time" compared to the '62 Corvette in late 1961? ... or, the "Mako Shark" in the mid 60's? ... or the last of the C3 convertibles in 1975? Not to these eyes.

No, IMO the C1 (1958) will always be the best looking corvette ever made.

If you want a truly unbiased answer, you'll have to post this question in all 7 generational sections of the forum

The C2 design has weathered the test of time well. However when you see the C7 and C2 in a picture side by side, the C2 design is starting to show it's age.

In my opinion it is like trying to pick the child you love the most. Way too much stress for me. I love them all. My first was a 1962 so I am partial to them. But I love them all.
