Here's the initial MOD I conceived. The other part of the exterior Mod is "de-Badge" the Stingray figure near the side vent. Thank you Chesapeake Embroidery and sign for taking the time to help me with my madness.

I like the rear idea, but I'm not sold on getting rid of the stingrays on the side. I'll have to keep an eye out for you. It will definitely make yours unique compared to the other AW convertibles in So. MD.

Do you like the touch up paint better then the letters? Like mine the way it is. Letters, no touch up. Only my opinion. Enjoy!

De Badged? How will anyone know what kind of car it is now?

You laugh, but early on, I had several people ask me what kind of car my '05 was.

The subtle "CORVETTE" on the lower right rear end wasn't enough. I can see that a totally de-badged C7 could raise the same question from someone who isn't too sports-car-savvy.

The way I see it, most of the time I am in front others on the road. Hence, the "Stingray". Besides this C7 will make it's mark the way it looks and stands.

My opinion on the stingray figure nest to the vent. It looks like someone went to a local parts store and got a chrome stick on and put on a their to represent something, don't know what. but something, after you see the car without, you will see my point.

I applaud you making the car your own, and i too have had stingray decal lettering on the back at one time. Your decal is too ostentatious for me though, it does not look OEM, something important to me when i mod.

To remove the "CORVETTE" lettering and replace with "STINGRAY" seems like change for the sake of change to me. Sorry.

My dealer got me some my touch up paint for my NRB. Haven't needed it yet but.... Just in case!

Is it not the reason we change up things with our toys so they are personalized. Everyone has known the new model as the "Stingray", how the name came back from the dead sorta speak. Hence my choice to show that.

I'm sure everyone have heard the opionion that the rear of this new model is mimicing the tail end of the Camero. That's not the case with me with this MOD.

As far, as the lettering not looking like OEM. That is why I designed them to mimic the arrangement of the tail lights, with the red and black shadow. I am sure one can see the corrolation, if not I enjoy looking back at it as I walk away when it is parked.

Doesn't matter what anyone else says. If you like it and it makes you happy that's all that counts.
Oh, BTW--good thing you didn't do this to a Camaro. Check that spelling.

Not that crazy about your mod, but it is your car to do with as you please.
