I found this thread and noticed the "hooks" on the scrivets are much larger than the ones in this thread. I wonder if these are an updated design or the wrong parts. I'm going to email my dealer but I'm curious if anyone received ones that look like the ones in my picture below. I've also included a picture that shows the P/N's on the bags that contained the Aero panel and the scrivets.

Ok, finally popped them after a ridiculous amount of force. We'll see how they fit.

So that's the "trick?"

I've been having the same problem - can't push those things hard enough (with my fingers) to get them to snap into place.

Did you use a tool or something else to apply your "ridiculous amount of force?"

Help, please!

Sprayed some WD40 on the piece and used both hands to pull. Still takes some force, but snapped together. Definitely not coming apart.

Quick update for those looking for this in 2018, the 23129601 scrivets were discontinued and have a new part number 23129614. What you'll need is now:

Z06 aero frame - part # 22830070
Z06 scrivets - part # 23129614 (one to a package, you'll need to order 2).

Bad thing about the aero plate bracket for GS/Z06 is if you need to take the plate off for a Track Day the scrivets will break about 98% of the time. The scrivets suck, if you need to take the aero bracket off!

GEEEZE, sorry I opened my big mouth about installing this areo plate holder. But it seems some good information came out.
Thank you everyone again!!
CubPilot, you are correct, I was one of the 98 %,they broke. Got the plastic weld to take care of it, good as new !

23129614 is not the correct Z06 scrivet part number, I just ordered that based on this post and they are the smaller ones I assume for a Stingray. The frame # is correct.

Nbd, they were cheap...but if anyone has the correct part number handy I’d appreciate it. 23129601 does indeed say discontinued...and the parts diagrams only list 23129614.

Just in case anyone needs these, according to the dealership the only way to get the larger Z06 scrivets now is to order the "Cover Pkg" GM part # 23278406. This comes with qty 2 in a bag, vs the Stingray ones that are 1 per qty ordered. I ordered that part # online and got them today, it's the exact same package of 2 that came with the car.
