Default Order date suggestions

Happy New Year everyone! I have been "lurking" on this site for close to a year now and have greatly enjoyed all the posts! Test drove a 2014 7M in September and I knew I had to get one! I will be purchasing my first ever Corvette from Hendrick Chevrolet in Kansas (put down payment in October to guarantee no mid year price increase). When should I do the actual ordering for a mid March delivery? I don't think Hendrick has an allocation issue as they sold over 100 C7s in 2014! My main concern is the solid roof constraint. My order options are: Laguna Blue, 2LT, 7M, non-Z51, NPP, black painted wheels, and carbon flash badging.

Thanks for any input! Very excited and can't wait to have it join my wife's Camaro 2SS in the garage!

Money down won't price protect you (unless the dealer covers the increase themselves). To get GM price protection, you need to have a retail sold order in the system, with your name on it, prior to the date of any price increase.

6-8 weeks is probably a pretty good guess. So, mid to late January.

I ordered yesterday was told 7 to 9 weeks on the outside but probably 6 to 8. I asked about the roof constraint and he said should not be an issue as they a large volume vette dealer and usually get what they order.
