Curious to see the average Corvette owner age on this board as personally most of the people I have witnessed driving Corvettes (or any other sports car that is over $60k) seem to be 55+.
Myself, once I take delivery, will be a 36 year old owner.
My husband was 36 when we bought his...in the process of buying mine and I'm 36...we're definitely below the average age for buying a vette but we're also DINK's (duel income no kids)

The best reply I have seen to this issue is that "when behind the wheel, you are only 23". I'm 69 and enjoy my C7 as much as the younger owners. Still able to fly a corporate job 2-3 days a week as well. Have fun, life is so short.
This is my 7th Vette. It turns out that I was older at the purchase of each successive one. I cannot control the fact that I have birthdays. How does age have any relationship to owning a Corvette?
Purchased my first one new at 32 and then my second at 37. Was never really a prospect until the C6 Z06 came out but decided on a GTO at the time since I need more seats. When the Grand Sport came out, I was able to have both a daily driver and a 2 seater and the same today.
:L what about people who are 17? Il be 18 by the time I get mine but :/
If you are 17 and have one it needs to be taken away

Don't read into my post so much I am not trying to imply anything really, just curious.
I guess if anything I could have been more specific and asked how old were you when you got your first Corvette?
The Corvette, like most sports cars, could be considered a frivolous purchase. Position in life helps dictate whether or not someone is in the position to make such purchases.
Kids, disposable income, job, etc.... play a huge role in whether or not people can buy stuff like this. Just curious to see how many of each age group are in a position to get one.
So far it looks like a near perfect ladder going from younger to older.
My income reached a point a few years ago to make it affordable but just this past year my kid situation kept me from buying one. Now that all but one of my kids drive their own cars I decided to get one.

68 but I bought my first vette when I was 17! New '65 roadster.
Mine is a 2014 coupe Cyber Grey and my wife (63) is waiting for her 2015 Daytona Orange coupe to leave the rail yard in Toledo and get home!
