I remember last Oct. I think it rained once. We were afraid the Beaches might be closed.

I doubt GM would be doing a metallic yellow. Which car maker even offers that color? I've never heard or seen of one yet.

Still can't believe GM would drop their racing color.

Non super cars - Honda offered a metallic yellow on their S2000:

Rio Yellow Pearl and Spa yellow Pearl.

Hey Jag,

Do you know if the 2016 Z06 follows this same schedule? Thanks.

Yes, this is a dealer trying to move inventory.

2016's will be in certain dealers hands as early as July 4th.

Doug Fehan has spoken often about how identifiable the C5/6/7R's were/are because of the Velocity Yellow paint. He considers the color "branded" to the Corvette Racing program.

Nissan had one on their 300zx twin turbo in the 1990s. I had one and loved the color.

Not a car maker, but Harley Davidson's Chrome Yellow Pearl is one of the best factory yellows I've seen up close. Really pops in the sun with what looks like a dozen layers of yellow, gold, orange, and even green flakes.
Something like this could make one forget about any previous yellow.

Yep, so the order guide will spill the beans on the major changes like color and options a week before the bash. Smaller items like software updates, parking sensors, blind spot indicators etc will be learned at the bash.

As far as metallic yellows other than the ones mentioned, the pearl yellow that Lamborghini uses is beautiful, even to those who don't prefer a yellow car. It would be cool if Chevy had a pearl yellow in 2016.

A Neon Yellow could be intesting...

I'd buy it.

That's why we can expect the new yellow to not be drastically different from the current VY. As it is, the race cars have not been exactly the same as VY. They are a similar color but not the tri-coat VY.

On 3/17 I ordered a Z51 from Mike Furman at Criswell. I asked how long would I have to wait for a 2016? Mike told me mid August to early September. This is coming from Mike freaking Furman so there you go.
