I had a C6 and now own a C7.
On my C6, I installed a set of GM splash guards.
Protection was minimal, but I liked them.
I am looking for something similar for the C7.
Any recommendations?
Yes, GM offers them for the C7, but they are easier to install on the C7. Besides the OEM versions, several forum vendors sell them painted to match you car or in Carbon Flash Metallic.
I'm currently running the GM guards on my C7. They are easy to install, provide minimal protection, but are better than nothing. I also applied protective Suntek film to the rockers. I am going to replace the standard GM guards w/ the RPI painted ones when they arrive.
I ran the wider splash guards (by Apsis) for over 5 yrs on the C6 and they worked great. I will most likely go w/ the wider guards for the C7 when I can find some decent looking ones that come painted to match body color...
I had dealer install OEM guards at time of delivery. They seem to catch most of the sling from the tires. Mind you, I'm not driving on gravel roads either.
Curious what color OEM splash guards would look best matched up with Carbon Flash side skirts? Carbon Flash painted splash guards or body colored painted splash guards?

Having dinged my ’88 and ’93 rockers and rear panel, bought these painted ones for my ’08 C6 before it arrived!. A little large but worked fine! Installed the GM Splash Guards for my C7. They have worked for the rear since that panel turns back quite a bit. However the GM installed plastic was still getting marked up on the rocker panels. Particularly dear the rear of the doors. In time and the panels would get dinged and I didn’t care for the thick GM marked up plastic. Solved the problem with side skirts. Mine are carbon fiber. They match my OEM CF roof.
You’d find other posters saying the same!
Worhed for C6
Stopped all stones etc for 5 years
Needed Side Skirts for C7. The GM Splash Guards are still installed but only help a bit in the front.

They look nice. Did you install them yourself? If so was it difficult?
I have a new C7 ordered just went to 3000 today. My dealer is not local to me...one of the large forum dealers. I am shipping a Front Splitter and Side skirt to them from RPI to install before I pick the car up. If the splash guards are easy to do my self I won't go thru the hassle of having them shipped to the dealer.

You can do it in a parking lot after you pick up the car in <1/2 hr.!! No need to jack up the car. I make PDF's of my installs for non DIY folks but you might like to see so you bring the few tools you'll need. http://netwelding.com/Splash_Guard.pdf
