I was just going to ask the same. When I use my leaf blower on my driveway, it throws up dirt, dust and everything else. Even blow drying it in the garage would send up unwanted dust and dirt.

Chip,

Does this include the 30' hose? If not, do you offer it as an add-on and for how much?

Thanks,
Paul

Just a suggestion...........make sure you get the "Revolution" model with the wall mount, swivel wheels and 30 foot hose! Here is a pic of mine mounted next to my vac. I plan to get a piece of diamond plate and attach it to the wall under the "Blaster" to keep the swivel wheels from possibly marking the wall. The rear wheels do not touch as they are supported by the heavy duty bracket.

I just ordered the Air Force Master Blaster Revolution with 30' Hose MB-3CDSWB-30. From what I understand, it has a very small, easy to focus nozzle to avoid that. I've used a leaf blower, much more coarse focus with bigger nozzle, and may have kicked up a bit if I wasn't careful drying the wheels.

BIC is right about the nozzle. If you look at my first pic above, you can see the nozzle on the end of the 30 foot hose. It produces a very concentrated air blast and is made of rubber in case you accidently touch the car.

I always worried banging the car with the metal body of the leaf blower when moving it around the car, not a problem with just holding the rubber nozzle and hose.

Like 3rail did, mine is mounted in the front corner so I have hose to dry in the garage or driveway.

I am not hating in anyway shape or form... I can not believe you guys dry off your car(s) with leaf blowers. First thing that comes to mind is if you are afraid of getting micro scratches wouldn't the blower cause scratches from the forced air upon the paint? Maybe you are standing far enough back that it will not effect the paint.

I dry my car off with just regular towels without applying "over powering" pressure. I have never had these micro scratches even with a shammi type towel.

Default Entertainment thru car washing!

Some of these guys hear "magic words" like "micro scratches" ....and just totally fall apart in ordinary car care methods not knowing what to do...... And then there is the other end that claim a 160 mph leaf blower air blast "can only drag contaminated air loaded with grit" onto your painted surfaces!

i dont use a leaf blwer for the same reason - figure either stuff in the air or leaves/tree droppings (there are 70 - odd trees on my lot, w/ about 8 covering the driveway) cant do the paint any good if theyt are blown across the paint.

I have one of those mr clean wash devices. has a built in water filter. finisher uses a fine mist. idea being it's contaminates in the water that leaves spots; the filter removes the crud, and the fine mist finish evaporates quickly w/o spotting.

or...

wash then drive really fast...

A dampened (then wrung out) microfiber towel is by far the best and fastest way to dry a vehicle.

AND

It doesn't cost 300 bucks!

Waffle weave even better than that....to each his own.....but it is kinda stupid worrying about micro scratches with every wash with clean tools, a finishing polish with orbital once a year takes them all out every time. Reseal and protect.

Leaf blower has no filter and only pushes water off. It can't dry the car. The Master blaster has a filter and heats the air 65 degrees above ambient temperature so it actually dries as well as pushing water off. Not as cheap as a leaf blower but my 70k car is worth it IMO.

Here in the dry desert we don't need no artificial heat to dry the car.

Adams products. They're a Forum vendor. Also. They're wax, glaze, will protect the paint from micro scratches. After using these products, their newest product H2o, used after washing, while the car is still wet, leaves a awesome finish. Just spray on and wipe off.

I'll second this... I also use this and think it's great. You blow water out of places you just can't get to, like side view mirrors, calipers/rotors and even around moldings.

Bingo!

I just did this with my '05 and it has virtually no micro swirls. I wash and wax regularly, but I'm also not afraid to take it through a car wash. So there!

I would never use a leaf blower on it, however, unless it was dedicated for this and never blew leaves (not even once).

Leaf blower is great way to dry a car, and a widely popular method and is the only way to completely eliminate the risk of getting the annoying swirl marks/fine scratches that build up after every process. Since we all can't buff the fine scratches out every weekend, any process that eliminates the possibility of adding annoying fine scratches, is smart. ..and why not do all you can to make the car look it's best in between buffing.

California Water Sqeegee and finish with high quality microfiber towels. Polish once a year with DA machine.
