Opinion: The car looks best with the Z51 style spoiler.

Fact: The MAJORITY of people prefer the looks of the C7 with either the optional Z51 spoiler or the optional Wing spoiler, as opposed to the standard (small) spoiler.

I must admit full length spoilers really do look damn awesome.

Normally I am not a fan of spoilers on cars.

For the C7 I think it looks naked without a spoiler. The rear end design just seems to be missing something without a spoiler.

Looks like no ZF1 option for '16?
FE2 may be the only option to get Z51 wheels on a base C7.

All in the eye of the beholder. You want to look different? It does. It looks plain with a small spoiler. You're happy? Works for me.

Personally, I like the spoiler that comes with the Z51 as far as looks go. Again, eye/beholder thingie.

On street cars spoilers are about styling, and nothing else. When you see spoilers on Honda Accords, you realize how silly they are.

Fact? You've surveyed several thousand C7 owners to have a statistically valid sample? Somehow I doubt it. The only FACT in this thread is that opinions vary.

To each their own. I greatly prefer the look of the car without rear spoiler. To me it interrupts the lines on the car.

Yes, fact, no survey necessary.

First, who cares what non-C7 owners think. I am referring to C7 owners only.

Majority of C7s (65%/35%) have the Z51 option, which comes with the Z51 spoiler.

On top of that, a number of C7 owners without Z51 option added an optional spoiler (wing or Z51) because they preferred that to the small spoiler.

We can all agree that C7 owners are particular enough where they generally end up with the options they prefer.

There was no outcry for a redesign of either the Z51 or wing spoiler, meaning Z51 owners generally like the look, or at least prefer it to the small spoiler.

In 2016, if over 25% of those that get Z51 option elect to delete the spoiler, let me know.

In my opinion the car still looks great with either spoiler (wing, Z51, small).

How'd this thread turn to such crap ? All the OP reported was how the dealer was able to delete the spoiler on his ordered car. Instead it got to one guy telling another member how his car looked hideous and others saying how stupid the cars looked without a spoiler. Talk about a tough crowd.

I for one would still enjoy hearing how the dealer was able to get this done.

I other words, you don't have any actual facts to back up your assertion. People order the Z51 kit for the performance benefits. They may, or may not, prefer the spoiler that comes with it. Without surveying owners, all you're doing is imposing your opinion on what others do. Thanks for letting me know I can ignore you.

I plan to get a regular coupe, 3LT, and I will not add the spoiler. Frankly, I like the look, and it might be an even more unique car.

This is not a valid correlation because if you want a Z51 you have no choice in the spoiler-the spoiler delete is not known to many people or may not be available to others. So there is no real "facts" in this regard. The only true fact would be if the full spoiler was a no cost option and then the stats would tell the story.

I don't dislike spoilers, but your logic fails for lazy people.

I'm buying a Z51 C7, and I plan on keeping the spoiler on even though the panel gaps and fit on every C7 I've seen in regard to the spoiler are terrible. The only reason, its too much effort to remove, and what happens if there are holes underneath it?

So you'd consider me a person who likes the spoiler, when in fact I do not.

+1, I agree. Without, it reminds me of the C2 slant window and back. I miss my "66" coupe.
