I'm still a CD guy. It's tough for me to grasp that there isn't a player in the C7.
If you really want CDs, the only simple option is to use a portable player and connect it through the 3.5mm aux jack. Or Bluetooth. I think I saw a BT enabled CD player somewhere.
Or spend a lot of money on an aftermarket stereo install, but I wonder if there are any aftermarket head units with CD players any more.
You get a thumb drive or and SD card and you can probably load every CD you own on to the new media and never have to swap discs again in the car. Hell, even I like the new media!
I guess technology moves forward and streaming is the future. A some luxury cars are coming with BluRay disks readers now to entertain the kiddies in the rear seat and I see complaints of the old school manufacturers that only support DVDs. No rear seats and no need to play Frozen to entertain the kids in the trunk so I can see why GM ditches a reader! Yep, eventually they will all go the way of the 8-track I guess.
Ok where is the CD player on the 3LZ?Manual is no help😡
I think not having a CD player sux ! You can keep the XM radio and Pandora at least with a CD I can control what Iam listening to. I bought my daughter a new Honda Civic and it had a CD player and the average age of a Civic owner is probably decades younger than a C7 owner. Who has the time to copy CDs to a SD card anyway ?

Took me all of 10 minutes to move my music from my iPod (iTunes) to an SD card.... Big whoop

As an old fart myself I can certainly see both sides of this issue. I've gotta say, though, that I really like having my 500+ CD collection on a single flash drive that I keep in my Stingray all the time. Yes, it takes some time to rip the CDs. I just did them a few dozen at a time on my laptop over several weekends while watching TV. Once you do it, you're done until you buy new music. The convenience of having all of your music with you without having to lug around the actual CDs easily justifies the time and effort IMO.
