Infotainment problems
I have a 32GB 3rd generation iPod touch loaded with about 90 albums containing 1550 songs. The iPod is plugged into the usb port behind the nav screen using an Apple cable. The system seems to properly recognize and catalog all of the files...it lists all the artists, all of the albums and even correctly shows all of the album art. But I have never successfully played through a complete album without running into the problem. The iPod itself plays completely normally when I use it out of the vehicle.
I became so frustrated with the iPod that I tried another method. I transferred all of the same music to a usb flash drive and plugged it in to the same behind-the-screen usb port. Again all the files were properly cataloged and displayed. But the results were no better. The same thing happens...random jumps from one album to another.
Anyone else having these problems? Any thoughts?

IDK how many/if they also apply to the '15.
Might want to ask the dealer/service dept. to verify they have all been installed.
iPod issues:
-Sometimes does not recognize the iPod (I've had it in all the USB slots)
- Sometimes says "iPod", which is not name of iPod (Tweety's iPod) and won't read at all
- Sometimes doesn't see it at all
- Album artwork and info not changing, but songs do
- repeats songs
Was so frustrated, switch to USB. It works much better, but every once in a while, won't read it. Reinserting hit or miss (sometimes 2 or 3 tries), repeats songs.
Back into shop today. I told him he'd better get the GM Regional guy involved because there's no reason a $75K car's radio should work worse than my wife's Honda minivan - or any other car for that matter. Have had Kenwood's in all my Vettes (and her minivan) and they NEVER, NEVER had a glitch in them.

Am I the only one that has noticed that the iPhone gets REALLY hot when plugged it? I usually plug it in and store it in my arm rest. I wonder if the heat has anything to do with it.

I love my C7, but the user-facing software is pretty bad.
When I took delivery of the car, I tried using the USB port in the armrest, and it wouldn't connect.
This time I tried using a different aftermarket cable and the USB port in the hidden compartment- and SUCCESS!!

It also recognized my iPhone 4S. Couldn't get it to play from my Android using the USB, but it worked fine via Bluetooth streaming.
I'm tempted to try something like this:
