Oh well. But at least the AEROBRACKET makes it easy to be legal and it really doesn't look that bad.
...And so far I've yet to notice any cooling issues, although the hottest I've driven in was around 85 degrees. Allegedly improves the aero? It's a "take lemons and make lemonade" sort of thing. Much better than writing checks for no front plate.
+1, I'm dreading the installation of a front plate on my car at delivery. Does the aero kit come with all cars that ship to states requiring a front plate?

I know you've had your C7 a while now, so I take it that your local law enforcement folks have just recently approached you with some form of paper that says comply or you owe them some money??
I am afraid the trend it towards more front plate enforcement instead of doing away with plates but it would sure be nice if IL would drop the front plate requirement.
The aero mount looks better than any of the alternatives I have seen but I am getting a Z06 and I don't like the amount of air it blocks. At this point the Top Flight Reproductions low profile mount is at the top of my list since it only covers about half as much of the grill space.

I thought you get both kits in the trunk of all cars, but I told Macmulkin that I lived in a front plate state during the order process. Aero kit requires you to drill the holes for the screws but it's about a 5 minute job with your cordless.
I'd try to keep the PDI guy from putting the bumper kit on the car, which is what will prolly happen when they discover there's no screw holes in the aero kit. It scratches the nose. Mine was on for less than 100 mi and left minor scratches from rubbing the paint. Nothing 5 minutes and scratch remover can't take care of, but it does scratch the nose.

If the order comes from a a single license plate state, I believe there is an order code that deletes the license plate holder. I live in a single plate state (Oklahoma) and I only received the AeroBracket (which resides nicely in a drawer in my garage). Any way for GM to save a dollar or two, I guess, which is fine by me.
Pretty sure this was discussed elsewhere but, I believe the aero plate is not the legal height required, atleast in Texas, that the license plate has to sit. Now I highly doubt any officer will pull you over if you have it mounted upfront wether using the aero plate, which is what I would use, or the plate mounter that was given.

I drove around in 111 degrees temp in Needles, CA (coming back from the NCC last September). No issues at all with my Z51 and front plate mounted as per the OP
While 99% of folks will not notice I wish I had used something like a BROOM stick to make my bend in the plate a little more gentle. I used the sharpe edge of work counter and you can see it.
I may remove it and try and futz with it so I lays flatter.
As I said 99% won't notice, but it could have been better.

It looks fine, few will notice the crease.
When I installed mine, tightening the four screw seemed to bend it sufficiently to form fit the aero holder.
