I stopped over to the auto show here in town for the first time in decades. (Chevy emailed me tickets so why not) I was surpassed by the amount of OP that was on many makes but also surprised at the paint job on a low end budget Nissan, I cannot remember the model but the dark blue paint was very smooth on the vertical panels. Interesting is that the new Maxima sitting next to it had obvious OP on both front fenders.
The two C7's paint had the standard look we are used to....smooth horizontals, "textured" verticals.
My eyes are old but my bifocal contact lenses work pretty good and I am very pleased with the paint quality on my black '14.
There is one place about an inch long on the edge of the hood where the paint appears thin and a lighter color shows thru I have to look to find it and it's not worth fussing with. I can't see it from the driver's seat, so all is good!
