I have VIN 003 1LT Z51 built 6/18. So much for first in first out! My sales manager checked this morning and was told it should be put on the train in the next 3 days. I am happy for ZEEEE06.
I tried to get a thread on VINs going, #1 went to Canada, you're 3,
11 is going to Florida, and I'm 12 in Mich. FWIW
The build is released for shipping and dispatch has total control Needless to say, the priority becomes getting trucks filled with builds going to a similar direction so the last thing dispatch is considering is FIFO. On the other hand, whether load on the first day of release or the second or third, most of them will be dealer delivered within a day or two of each other.
Its all good and once you are driving your order down the road you will forget the anxiety and the frustration of doinf a retail sold order. How do I know? Because so many who post on this forum are repeaters. It is as addictive as a high and definitely more worth it.
Enjoy the trip!

I know what you mean about the addiction. I have been checking in on this thread since page 1. Thank you, to everyone for all your input. This is my first Vette and hopefully not my last. GM does a pretty good job keeping us in the dark. Waiting for an allocation was 3 months of hell! With that being said, I would not rule out doing it again.
Anyone know if shipping from BG is a 7 day a week operation or 5 day like the factory? Just hoping that my car leaves its BG pen and becomes a free range Vette sooner rather than later.

Mine was released for shipment to MacMulkin, and OnStar has it about an inch up Corvette Drive from Docprego's car.
Does that mean the the cars will sit there all weekend if Jack Cooper only works 5 days a week? On the other side, they were probably sidelined by a couple of weeks, and the drivers would want to get back to work.
Will check status in the AM.
BTW, how do you capture the Screen Dump from OnStar?

So here is the latest on my Z06. Got an email from Shane saying my car had been released & to call ASAP. Placed the call and confirmed NCM delivery on 7/16 at 7:45 am. Then got an email from NCM with all the paperwork.
I spent the next few hours trying to line up a flight from Portland, OR to Nashville. What PIA that was. Finally got a redeye flight that will take 14 hours for instead of the usual 4 hr. trip. Called the dealer and set up an appointment for Monday to get the Bill of Sale & license. Went to the insurance company and got Proof of Insurance. Another $150/month gone from my pocket.
The National Corvette Homecoming event starts on the 16th so I decided to stay a couple of extra days to attend that & think I will put the Z on display as it should be one of the very 1st '16's out there. Will start the 2500 mile trip home on Saturday.
Anyone else taking delivery on or around the 16th that might want to hook up in BG? If so give me a shout by PM.
