My TPW was 7/6 with the vin ending with 934 and my car has been shipped to toledo, OH as of today headed for the west coast. I am so excited for my first vette!
West coast where??
I'm Bay Area and ours was built complete 7/10
My dealer just told me I'm at 4200 as of 4:36 a.m. today. Yet OnStar still shows my car in the plant. Confused.
Yeah the same exact deal on my end. I show the miles on the car (which have been at 4 miles 18 mgp average gas mileage ) and the location is the same over the last 2-3 days, still in the plant. My contact at the dealership said code 4200. I hope on-star is just not tracking any longer and that both of our cars are really moving closer.
I have a 2016 coupe from MacMulkin sitting at my local dealer just begging to be driven home. I just spoke with someone from MacMulkin on the phone who told me that I don't need the Certificate of Origin or invoice to take it home - all I need to take the car home is the temp tag they are overnighting me. I told him this was contrary to what my local dealer told me as well as what another MacMulkin employee told me. He replied that they've already delivered several 2016s without invoices.
I'm pretty confused right now. Seems like no one really knows what's going on with 2016s.

I sure hope so. I'd complain though, my car is showing 19 mpg over its 3 miles so far.

The car could be loaded on a truck and the load signed for by the driver, but the driver may not leave till later today or tomorrow depending on his hours.

I personally wouldn't take delivery of a car that didn't have a window sticker or an invoice so that I can verify everything was ordered correctly on the car. Once you drive it off of the lot, you've accepted delivery of the car and it can't be refused if you later have a problem.

Thank you.
Does 4200 definitively mean it's in the possession of the shipping company and therefore on its way?
4200 means the shipping company has control over it. It has to happen before the unit can be loaded on the hauler. The shipper has a limited amount of time to get the unit moving once it has responsibility (ten days, I am told).

It depends on where you got the 4200. What you said is true for the general 4200 like chat, but if your dealer shows 4200 then it is actually loaded on a car carrier, even if the carrier hasn't left the yard.

My car VIN 003 1LT Z51 went 4200 on Saturday and it just showed up at the dealer in Wisconsin 3 hours ago. Dealer told me it was trucked up the entire way. No invoice, he thinks they will have it by mid August. Just kidding, he is not sure when the invoice will be there.
Nice! Was yours shipped yet? I'm from Portland, OR! I'm going to be going down to the Bay Area at the end of August!
we are at 3800 as far as I know. probably be a while as we have to truck to Toledo and then put on a rail car to get here. Our 2015 that was built on 2 Mar sat in Toledo for over 60 days. We cancelled the order after 53 days and re-ordered a 2016. We just felt that some type of damage happened to it in Toledo and didn't feel comfortable taking it.
