we are at 3800 as far as I know. probably be a while as we have to truck to Toledo and then put on a rail car to get here. Our 2015 that was built on 2 Mar sat in Toledo for over 60 days. We cancelled the order after 53 days and re-ordered a 2016. We just felt that some type of damage happened to it in Toledo and didn't feel comfortable taking it.
My 2016Z was built 6-30 and released for delivery last week. According to onstar, it is on the side of Chrysler Drive in a rail yard in Toledo for the past 5 days. I don't know when they will be headed west.
Congrats ZEEEE06, your car looks great. I have always thought that nothing is as good looking as a clean shiny black car....... but then again nothing looks as bad as a dirty black car. smile. I bet yours stays spick and span clean. I've had two black vettes in my life........ luv'em.

Pictures are deceiving. Believe it or not the car is dirty. I didn't let the dealer clean it up and it got rained on while I was taking delivery and part of the drive home
I've been obsessing about the delivery on my z06 and ever since I got on-star working I've been using it more than I should. For the first few days I saw it moving a bit through the facility/plant. The last few days it shows in the same spot still in Kentucky, but it got reported as status 4200 today and I can still pull the GPS info, but the vehicle status for on-star stopped responding about 7 hours ago. I hope that means it is moving and the GPS is simply not accurate.
Does 4200 definitively mean it's in the possession of the shipping company and therefore on its way?
After this saga I'm hesitant to get excited.
Me and you both. Mine still won't wake up, so it clearly hasn't been started since Friday. I haven't heard anything that mine moved from 4B00 to 4200 either. Haven't heard anything from Shane either.

It's lunacy. I'm wondering if my car is actually in the plant at all. I was told it's at 4200 by my dealer, that means it's in the possession of the shipping company. That would logically mean it's loaded on a hauler or will be very soon. Then how could the position be inside the plant where you have repeatedly said there is nowhere for cars to drive?

What a mess.
Experience says event status for shipping is all over the place. 9A on Monday I got GM customer service telling me it's at 4000 and waiting for carrier assignment. 30 minutes later it's 60 miles west of Louisville in the way to St Louis. Never did move off 4000 according to GM chat and dealer called me that afternoon with pictures in their lot. But the OnStar was spot on all the way to dealer parking lot including 3 other dealer stops.

I suspect it is still in the lot. I can't imagine that OnStar is that far off. It could be that it is on a truck but the truck hasn't left the lot. The good news is that they must have replaced your chrome bar to get to 4200. There is no other way it could have got to 4200. I bet tomorrow you see yours roll off. I just sent email to my dealer to see if mine has moved off of 4B00. I suspect they could replace my chrome bar without ever needing to start the car. I just checked again and just get an error code that it can't find the vehicle. My airplane tickets are starting to skyrocket. I'm hoping tomorrow I will get 4200 and then I will just book for 7/27. There isn't really any logical way that it could be 4200 and not be able to pick it up for R8C by 7/27.
Based on the amount of posts and that Dave @ Kerbeck says that he has a truck full of EYT's that will land by Friday, makes me feel pretty good that we will both see our cars where we want to see them by EOW!
There are guys posting with their car made easily two days after mine and they show 4200 already. So, they have to catch up to ours, unless we jinxed our cars by checking on OnStar -- maybe your sounded the horn and lights on yours and they are keeping yours in sick bay!

LOL. Thankfully I've only clicked on map and vehicle status. Never been in any other areas of the app. I think you are right, 4200 told to me by my dealer is good news. Hope you get the same soon. Are you saying that the location that my car has been in that looks like it's inside the plant could actually be one of the lots? Sorry if that's what you meant, I wasn't certain from your wording.

Personally, I think all of the odd readings we have been getting have really been they have been sitting on the lots. The fact that mine would report two different locations in a matter of minutes seems like a pretty good indication that it never really did move. I know it physically can't be at the electrical sub station -- others have reported their cars there also. When I drove by, that area was all chained up with access only to the electric company.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. If it is loaded up, we should see some real movement then. As always I'll update the thread.
Yes, but if you look at my post from yesterday, I was correct. Not all cars were invoiced. There are quite a few that are being delayed till later this week or early next week.

Dave
So is there some rhyme or reason to which cars were invoiced vs which ones weren't? Certain build dates, types, destinations, etc?
My 2LT Z51 was built last week and through Onstar has been sitting in their loading yard since at least Monday. I am a dealer and had another 2LT Z51 built this week and somehow we receive the invoice for that one and not mine how can that be? Especially since the one built this week says it will arrive here at the dealership Friday. Any insite on this would be great!!!
General question relating to on-star....So in my situation (similar to others) my car has a 4200 code as of yesterday. The GPS still shows it in the same position that appears to be in the factory, and that's where the car has been per on-star for the last 4 days or so. Up until about 24 hours ago I could consistently pull the diagnostics and check the miles and so on. Now I get a hotspot time out message anytime I try to update those stats.
So question is if GPS is unavailable due to being in a shipping container would it just constantly show it in Kentucky or just error out saying the car isn't reachable via GPS?

Hope it DOSEN'T take as long as the 2015 we ordered. Stuck in TOLEDO for 62 days. We cancelled after 54 and re ordered a 2016 that is now ON ITS WAY TO TOLEDO
What dealer did you use?
