Up until about 24 hours ago I could consistently pull the diagnostics and check the miles and so on. Now I get a hotspot time out message anytime I try to update those stats.

So question is if GPS is unavailable due to being in a shipping container would it just constantly show it in Kentucky or just error out saying the car isn't reachable via GPS?
Location services turns off three days after the last starting of the car.

Not all. Maybe 35 of the 50.

I'm in exactly the same boat. He's saying that OnStar is reporting a GPS location which means the car is awake. If it were not awake it would return an error message that the car couldn't be found. Since we're both at 4200 the cars are supposed to have shipped, but like his mine still looks to be inside the plant. It's hard to understand what is going on.

Is your on-star returning results for "Vehicle Status"? Mine hasn't been for about 24 hours, while it used to regularly.

Yes it is, but none of the info is different. I found that if you get an error pull down the screen to refresh it and on the second attempt the status does load. This happens to me every time.

Yeah mine simply won't load at all anymore. Says it failed to connect to the hotspot. The website actually just loads a blank screen more or less when I try to pull it up on my desktop.

Just because a car may show that it is still in the plant doesn't automatically mean that it has a problem. First, and foremost, those signals can get distorted to say the least. Also they randomly check cars for several different reasons as well. I know it's tough to play the waiting game. Shoot, my order hasn't even been accepted yet so I really have a long time to wait. Having the benefit of prior ownership before I know that they are worth the wait so let's hang in there together and continue to support each other during this stressful time.

I think some of us that aren't seeing movement are probably letting anxiety get the best of us and worries start to surface. I try to remain positive and knowing that my car hit #4200 should mean they didnt detect any issues that would keep it for an extended time at the factory. I just really wish I saw the on-star GPS show the car moved

I think I may have found the invoice problem.

Last week, when prices were finally integrated into the GM Ordering System, the option TTV (black mirrors and spoilers) was showing $0 instead of $100. I had contacted GM then and they put the fix in a few days later.

Fast forward to today. We get invoices. Some, but not all but it's no big deal since I was told to expect it.

Then we get a load of cars in today and, lo and behold, many have window stickers! Then I notice that some have window stickers even though they don't have invoices.

That's when I notice that the 4 I have with window stickers and no invoices all have the TTV option. When I look at the window sticker, the MSRP is off by $100 and there is no list of the TTV option.

So, my guess is that the original invoices and window stickers for the cars with TTV had to recycle through the system and that's why there is a delay!

This is not an official announcement from GM, it's only my guess. However, I'm willing to bet that everyone out there who is saying they don't have an invoice yet probably has the TTV. Elementary!

I will now go put on my deer stalker cap and smoke my pipe.

Dave

The only reason I saw that is looking at Google Map images of the lot. There are open trailers with Corvette's loaded on them. There are also pictures of 2016's that are on the forum with open trailers.

I can't imagine why they would do some open trailer and others closed trailers.

Hey guys, we have just recently really started using the forum like we should. I have a 2016 ordered and I have a VIN# can someone tell me how you guys do this? I would love to track my car. I have a made date of 6/26 but my dealer isn't a big ball of help. Hubby travels a great deal with work so I'm the one trying to keep up with our new baby.

Thanks for any and all help.

I think you have to have the Dealer activate the OnStar system in the car. Once activated you can find where the car is on the OnStar locate mapping system. Download the free Onstar program from your app store to your smart phone once you call the Dealer.

You can use GM Chat online to check order number status, and if you want to enable on-star you can speak to your dealer and they can get your account setup. Then you just download the on-star app on your phone to track it via location.

This is correct however you also need to create an OnStar account AFTER your dealer activates OnStar in your car.
